You are ignoring the fact that the server populations have risen (and seem to still be rising) since you made this thread.

Look for yourself.

Since I made my last count a few minutes ago, there are now only 6 light servers and 1 more heavy.

I would say subscription levels have probably fallen in the last two hours, no offense.

What?

Because the servers have been going up since you made this thread (like people were trying to tell you), you would say people have unsubscribed?

What?

I hope that makes sense.. in the sense that if a world isn't bustling and populated, it's much more difficult to find groups, PVP, etc. The single-player is fun in this game, but it will not carry it through months and years as an MMO. It just won't.
You have to be a little subjective there. I was a longtime sub to a medium pop server in WoW, and outside the main cities there were almost no groups to be had for group content in most zones. I can still vividly remember the time I sat in Venomspite, one of the Horde settlements in Dragonblight, spamming general for nearly 30 minutes without finding a single person to do a 3 person quest to kill the Scarlet Onslaught chick.

7/10ths, or thereabouts, of my entire time in WoW was done solo. I grouped for instances on occasion, but overall I could go from 1-to-85 all by myself (and did, in most cases).

If you are experiencing pop lulls on your server, try rolling on a more populated server. Hopefully Bioware will put in server transfers in due time. The server I rolled on (Iron Citadel) has a pretty steady population, and there are almost always groups for everything popping up in general. Everything from normal BT, to Athiss, Hammer Station, hard mode fps, operations, etc.

Here's the thing with that, though. Blizzard had years to perfect their craft. They realized the MMO community needed an LFG tool and it's been unbelievably successful. How on earth could a game of this caliber not be released with some sort of LFG tool? Another reason I feel a bit insulted.

Also once you hit 50, sometimes you play a little less. The average player clocked 5 hours a day according to SWTOR press release on release week. I'm sure the average 50 is logging closer to 1-3 hours on a given night, and yes some may have not resubbed for what ever reason. Much like that mmo which shall go unnamed, folks start logging on about 7 and most are gone by 11. If they log on much at all, if you got 2 million credits in your bank and full columi/rakata gear not a ton of reason to jump on an off night unless you want to pvp or help guildies.

Just to shut the OP up, since he's so keen on numbers.

East coast server, had light queues during start-up, nothing in the 3+ hour range, its currently 7:30 CST and server is showing standard load. Like most servers republic is significantly outnumbered by imperials by a factor of around 2-1.

EIGHT HUNDRED AND FORTY SIX active republics players....so conservative estimate would be 2000+ overall playing RIGHT NOW! And its not even the busy time of the evening for my server.....

I can't believe I let myself get sucked into this but deliberate misinformation REALLY ticks me off.

The guy who said he did it that way and there were 500 ppl doesnt know what hes doing. It was SHOWING 100 people there were many more than that.
I'm afraid you're not correct.

Easy way, with very little typing - open your social tab (whatever it's called - the one with friends/guild/who/ignore, etc.).

Go to the who tab. This will default to your zone.

In the search box, put whatever you want in there. You can put "The Pit" to see how many people of your faction are in Huttball (Voidstar and Civil War for the other 2 warzones, though that number is almost always zero on my server).

You can put "50" to see how many 50's are online at that moment.

You acn put 1-10 to see how many people level 10 or lower are online. 11-20, 21-30, etc.

If any of these numbers are 100 or higher, you will get "showing first 100 results", so narrow your search with 1-5, 6-10, etc.

These results are only your own faction, of course, but they will tell you how many people are on the server at the moment of your search that fit your criteria, and you can easily tell exactly how many people of a given faction are on your server right then.
