It would be nice if it was sharper and you could see the clothing better, other than that I think the game is beautiful as it is.
Umm...yeah...that blurry texture thing?

That's texture resolution. And that's exactly what we're talking about.

IT doesn't just affect your armor, though that is where you would notice it most. It affects other textures in the game world as well. They look muddy...undefined..and blobby in many instances.

They certainly do not look like the screenshots from in-game footage that Bioware is handing around to websites. I have seen some people say that they are seeing high rez textures...but many are not.

So something is WRONG. And that fancy robe you have on your Sentinel? You *should* be seeing that in much higher detail.

Asked @Rockjaw on Twitter, but I doubt I'll get an answer. Not because he couldn't be bothered, but because I bet he is getting a billion questions at the moment. Have a feeling we'll have to wait a good while before this even gets looks into, especially if it's only affecting a certain percentage of players.

Still, least we can still play.

Oh it's affecting everyone, some people just don't care enough to notice.

Its a shame since the current texture res doesn't even push 4 year old hardware much less anything newer.
I was right there with you and i knew when they took the AA option out it was a bad sign for any high res textures or AA coming back to the game any time soon. Bioware certainly did not spend any of that 100 mil on Scaling options or optimization lol.

They have no high res textures nor AA or AF. Apparently they modified the living daylights out of hero to scale it for a lower end computer and broke the living Fug out of the high end options.

This...

I think the models are ok and most of the scenery is ok. but some of the textures on the NPC's and even my own character could be better.

For example there are some buckles and stuff on the clothing chest pieces could use a bump map to make it look like more polygons than there are. BW just aren't utilizing the technology.

Also some of the imp rank insignia is just a new mesh covering up the old texture on the original chest mesh. There is a fat npc imp on Drommand Kas where you can really see it and is just sloppy imo.

Textures usually look good to me, with the exception of many of the NPCs' shirts/jackets in cutscenes. The imperials have this thing below each shoulder that's extremely blurred. In general, it seems like SWTOR has a lot more geometry where other games have textures, and that'll probably look great with AA.

I love the art style in the game but not going lie the graphics are bad in some areas and good in others. Really they are very inconsistent so far.

I also wonder why the dumbing down of graphics? Sure make it so you can lower a lot to run on older machines, but also jack it up to run great on high end machines.

The biggest fail in the graphics imo is your characters textures, those should be spot on and super gorgeous this includes ALL the armor.

Love the game and will keep playing and hoping better graphics stuff gets patched in, but not gonna lie, WoW and RIFT graphics look better at this point.

My biggest problem is with the armor textures. The environments are wonderful to look at, and most everything else but, some of those armor textures are blurry. They have a "smudged" look to it. I can only imagine it will get better with patches but I'm still disappointed sometimes. And btw my comp is beast. I have everything on max except bloom, which I just dont like for some reason.

It's strange indeed. Seems for me the game can only show low graphical textures. Even in the options when I switch to medium or high, it does absolutely nothing. I don't even think I have any form of high resolution textures. Just experienced a cutscene in the Jedi Temple and oh my did that look absolutely awful. Hate moaning about it, but something is wrong.

Have Bioware actually even said anything about this or are they just trying to ignore it?
