Mods are fine. The cookie cutter/perfect math and the mindset of certain people they bring are what kill games, community's and fun.
There are alot of guilds like that. Its the truth, but not all of them are like that.

Hey now.. I enjoy blowing up those internet spaceship pixels. And not always (whoever plays longest wins). I took a 4 month old toon into nullsec and did pretty good with it. Granted had a good corp and alliance as well though. My main was in everything from Highsec to lowsec, nullsec and wormholes. 2005 toon. Got nabbed once oh.. 2010 I think it was and toasted by some dude that had been playing the character for all of three weeks because I got careless and cocky. Also used a lot of "throw away" toons as tacklers. They were barely able to fly a Rifter, but still managed to assist on kills even then.

*edit* but yeah, the older the toon, the harder it is to kill normally.

This is not the game your looking for :P

Cause wanting to improve your gameplay is bad in SWTOR?

Stay out of raids then.

I don't know as this type of environment is a good example of where numbers could be put to use. A guild that is pugging or running with a trial or new member who is bad enough to be booted the first night, probably has more issues than their output, uptime, and contributions.

I understand that, but my fear is that it will become the norm here, as in WoW.
There int much point to having gemslots/talent trees/skills when it comes down to 1 cookie cutter setup across the board. Its not fun. And it ends up being mandatory at endgame.

Have you played it since they introduced the WH's? Lot of fun. No local so you never know who's there until they jump you. No stations, only POS's. No ICE in them so you HAVE to leave them now and then to refuel the POS, and your exits can often be in REALLY bad areas. Was a lot of fun. me and my corp and alliance would often set up gank traps with cloaked T3's and Stealth Bombers. Lone super tanked HUlK as bait mining an anom.. gank crew would warp in, we'd uncloak and turn the tables. was always a lot of fun when it worked, and some epic fights when it didn't.

you have never played the game do you?

you have to micromanage alot if you want to beat anyone that isn't a 1 month noob in a raven. also you have to be in the right ship with the right fitting, or else a 3 month old toon (that knows how to play) can beat the crap out of your 7 year old char.

ah now i get it you are one of those high sec player, too afraid to leave the safe zone doing level 4 all day long while waiting for the "magical skillpointnumber" to come up

hint for you, you can PVP as soon as you undock
