As far as I observe, for 120+ Reps in fleet, dozens spams in /1 channel, there are... 1 or 2 LFG comments set? Yes, this system is not the best we could get, but since it exists in such form, we should at least use it before rage the forums with "BW y u no made auto-finder??"
Or, as an alternative to that theory, BW could have launched with a tool that people would use instead of a tool that history should have made abundantly clear, they wouldn't. You (and others) say the tool doesn't work because people don't use it. People don't use it because its a bad tool, especially when compared with LFG tools from other games.

Could people take more initiative in forming groups? Probably. But BW would have been better served to launch with a tool that is better suited to the asocial masses that play these games.

I have a 46 vanguard, 43 marauder, and a 24 smuggler. Even with all three toons I have difficulty getting into a group for FPs.

People keep saying "join a guild". Well some of us don't want to join guilds. I want to play SWTOR casually because of RL. Every time I've joined a guild in MMOs I end up as an officer and end up being sucked into every raid.

I have a finite amount of contiguous time to play this game. My RL obligations do not allow for the massive timesink anymore.

It's already obvious that there is massive depopulation of the content between levels 16-49. Bioware obviously wants people to roll alts. Well people are having a horrible experience wandering through nearly empty zones and it's compounded by the difficulty in getting groups together for FPs.

This game really needs a flashpoint queue system like dungeon finder. Anyone who thinks it ruins the community isn't paying attention. You are not forced to use dungeon finder in wow, etc. you can still group together with your friends, in fact I have met some good ppl through wow's dungeon finder. I work a busy schedule and do not have time to wait to get into groups, so as it is now I cannot and have not experienced flashpoints in this game. I can only quest and pvp. Seems a little ridiculous to only cater to guilds and hardcore players. Casual players want to play and enjoy the entire game as well, but if this is not something that is coming I just don't see how only questing and pvp is going to hold interest for very long.

There is a saying in my country: if you don't have what you like, you have to like what you have.

Yup, I agree that current LFG "system" ("" because I doubt it could be called system at all) is poor. Very poor. But we know that any new mechanics won't be coded instantly - it could take months before we got it, assuming that devs would start working on it immediately. So we've got the options: suffer and whine, or suffer a little less and use what we have (or quit the game if none above is possible to bite).

I'd opt for suffer less, since I'm not going to quit yet. What would you and others do - it is your call, I have nor will nor measures to force you.

Really good to see some new posters on the subject, glad everyone is being civil I got a message from an anti-LFD person telling me to stop posting on my alts, lol. Guess we're getting to them
Our lack of a proper LFD tool will black out the sun!
Then we shall cancel our subs in the shade!

Yeah it's nice when it's not just "3 people" posting over and over. lol And seriously, can you even post from alts? I thought it was account wide? Unless they mean you have multiple paid accounts and are posting from each of those. Either way, too funny. And like you said, looks like we're getting to them.

But in all seriousness. Good to see new people. Let's keep it coming. And I saw a huge LFD discussion in the fleet on my server today, with the exact same arguments coming from the anti-LFD people. They never learn.

Now to log back onto Touch...*cough*...I mean get back into the game.
