Why I'm not playing.

This thread proves the biggest trolls on this forum are the fan boys. A well thought out, very thorough review of the game, and still trolled.

It also lines out the same reasons I and several of my friends are done with the game already after this month. We were going to try to wait it out, but we just can't, it's not fun. We decided we might try back again in a year when the game might be ready for release.

I read a good portion of your post (couldn't make it all the way through...) and here are my thoughts...

1. Yes, MMO fatigue is becoming a factor for many gamers so it doesn't surprise me that you got bored fast here.
2. Commenting on how all quests go on through all levels, when you didn't even complete your story (sounded like you only got through Chapter One of the JK) doesn't do much for your credibility. Stick to what you know and don't assume you know what happens after you stop playing. I could go on about this, but I will end this point with the fact that you comment heavily on lvl 50, but then admit you don't know anything about end content because you didn't get there... Ungood!
3. What do you want the feel to be as a JK? Do you want to have no access to the council because you are a "nobody"? That wouldn't seem very epic, now would it? You are the center of this universe, so you should be the next coming of the greatest character ever... that's how you should feel!
4. Your companions need upgrading, as much as your own character. If you didn't upgrade them consistently, then you would have suffered from bad performance and a lot of deaths as a result while leveling. Other aspects of having a companion are personal preference, I have found. I liked my dialogues, for the most part.
5. Once you get Doc, having a companion really really pays off as a JK.

While I am not going to say goodbye (as I have done for others), nor will I say, "sorry to see you go" (that's Bioware's job), I will say, good luck finding an entertaining game for you.
My epiphany about End Game in SWTOR!

People in this game like to fall back on that excuse. I didn't play anything for a year before this game came out, I was ITCHING for a new MMO to come out and give me something entertaining. This game just didn't do anything for me. I now find myself itching for the next one, a game that actually dares to break the mold.

Instead, I found one that did a POOR job of re-using the same mold. That's the disturbing part. Not only did they essentially just make a typical MMO clone, they did a bad job of it.

Please, bottom of page 4, read my review of his review. I point out MANY inaccuracies, as well as many wildly subjective claims that he makes. Just look for the red colored word "subjective" and the yellow colored word "inaccurate" above each quote to find the ones I'm talking about. I try to be as fair as I can, I especially didn't label things inaccurate unless they were OBVIOUSLY inaccurate. Inside the quote, if you know much about TOR, you will find that he states things that are either wildly inaccurate or insanely subjective.

Not to mention, at the end, saying essentially "don't buy the game" hurts us ALL. I don't agree with troll posts, but I completely understand them in this case.

A pretentious rehash of the standard; "I wanted another World of Warcraft, and Bioware be damned for copying World of Warcraft!" post.

With the exception:

Quote:
Also to take issue with the quests is the writing of the game. BioWare have long been trumpeted as the masters of RPG writing. I would argue this point very much (my vote for that would go to Obsidian Entertainment), but generally find BioWare to be tolerable at worst to rather fun and interesting, even if it follows an obvious formula. *Snip*
OK. I'll agree here, much of Bioware's RPG storytelling reputation is based on the exquisite work of Obsidian's(Black Isle) Chris Avellone. The greatest stories in computer gaming, Planescape: Torment and Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer were both written by Avellone.

And why did you feel you needed to share your wall of text about why you're no longer playing a video game? Seriously?

Apparently you still have an active account though, since you can post here.

Your huge text wall is so full of inaccuracies and biased opinion it's not even funny. BobTheTeepo's post pretty much hit the nail on the head, so I won't repeat it.

I have said it before, but I have done more group activities in this game than even the mother of all MMOs WoW. I just find it more fun and variety having 5 different heroics (give or take a few) on each planet.

Doing the same handful of dungeons in WoW day after day after day is very very boring....for me!

but from 1-49 there is no real incentive to group up with people which is such a shame

Um this game gives you heroic missions and flashpoints. In WoW, you usually have to go to the dungeon finder tool to get grouping. I have solo'ed WoW from 1 to 85, only to see people in Org/Storm (a few people in the questing areas, but not many).

Yes WoW does give you a few group quests from quest givers, but not as much as this game.
Having group conten and having meaningful group content are two totally different things.

It's so quick to level, there is no incentive to do any of the group content from 1-49 as the gear you get will be out leveled so quickly.

So group quests that bring people together that are worth while, I don't care what wow had, I am talking about this game, the one they spent a few hundred million on.

very well thought out and written, OP.

While I do not agree on all your points, a lot of what you're saying is reasonable.

We need more posters like this guy and less fanboys and haters.
can you make sword in box light sword so sword come out when opened? then if sword is back after sword, use light saber on box, and saber will be boxed after sword is out.
