Sounds like you'll enjoy Guild Wars 2 OP. Your actions will make a lot more change to the world than SWTOR or WoW.

As for the other complaints I can see where you are coming with the quest system and storyline, but even though WoW has a few cool different questlines that are interesting for the most part the questing in SWTOR is better IMO.

When it comes to bugs and issues like that I think BW has shown that they are paying attention and I feel their level of bug squashing is acceptable.

The UI is indeed lousy but once again I am willing to give them some leeway and time to come up with improvements which they have also identified as an area for improvement I think.

Honestly, 2 50's isn't unreasonable at this point. The fact that people are hitting 50 and feeling that they need to move to an alt to find something to do is a bit more to the point.

My point is: If I were "bored out of my skull" of something, I would find something else.

I'm sorry, you tell me.

1) If you dont like to pvp.
2) And you do like doing operations.
3) Or hard modes.

What are you doing at 50? That is currently the sum of all content for level 50. So I'm curious what your doing in your time; sitting at the imperial station roleplaying?

1. SWG sucked hard, im not saying no one played it, im stating my opinion. I hated it, much like alot of other people i know hated it. with that said SWG is a VERY VERY different game from SWTOR, if you want this to be like that for heavens sake quit crying and go play that, you already burned 10 years on it what difference will 11 make?

2. year playing mmo experience. im glad you have enjoyed mmos for that long, they really havent been around for much longer than that. With that said, i highly doubt you were there for their launch, or must not remember how dismal they were?!
Games such as Star Trek online launched with Significantly less content and significantly more bugs. Its F2P now. how about Final fantasy 14 a miserable game that launched BROKEN as in not playable at ALL! after a year in REDESIGN is not only subscription based but STILL has no GTN/ AH and still is abysmal.

3. Im really wondering what attention span you seem to be speaking of? have you even played this game? did you know you can actually decide what your character says to NPCs? sure its only a hand full of choice but your character has a fliping voice. there isnt a MMO that features that besides this one.

4. weather and day/night on planets? ok ill give you this one. Its not really all that important to me because well each of these planets happens to have their own star and their own orbit cycles to truly make it realistic would be slightly unrealistic. but whatever.

5. cost... seriously do you think EA and Bioware troll the internet downloading someone elses interface? someone elses whatever. and just cut and paste? im sorry but i can assure you that this is not even close to the case. They are paid roughly 50 to 60 bucks an hour and (80k to 120K/year salary) it takes much longer than an hour to design and code the interface and code the engine to do what you need it to do. this game has been in development for at least 3 to 4 years so that means they spent at least a million to the developers ALONE, that is NOT INCLUDING the money going to voice actors such as David Hayer (thanks man, I am a big fan)

I am not seeing your justification of being offended

But he DID. Very good, very articulate, very well-though-out reasons. Something that so-few do. You, as an apparently fan of SWTOR, should be THANKING HIM for being so point-on and giving the devs something to go off of when / if they browse feedback and see what their players are liking, and what their players are NOT liking. He could have simply said 'Game sucks, cancelled today, bye losers!', and your posts and criticisms would be perfectly justified. But he did not.

Also, comparing your 'right' to kill yourself in a thatrical way does not equate to his 'right' to post a constructive opinion piece on a paid-for-product. Stop posting. Seriously.
LOL name one part of his thread that is CONSTRUCTIVE.

I think you find people more interested in quitters than they are. People that are quitting don't need to post AT ALL.

Why do we care how well thought out his "i'm quitting" thread is. It is NOT constructive by it's very nature. He isn't playing the game anymore, by default that is not constructive. Claiming that his post will benefit others after he is gone is a joke, and I pray that you don't actually believe that.

You can't express how he has the right to post his opinion and then tell me to stop posting because I voice mine, you hypocrite.

I guess the people in your guild are not worth a damn but if you get those perks they might be worth your time, eh?

Its not so much that the game did things wrong as it is you are simply playing the wrong game.

No.. i am DOING OPS and Hardmodes.

People do the things YOU DISLIKE, even if YOU dislike them.

Lol, what is hard to understand about that.

This is like going to the local Pool, and asking "WHY ARE YOU GUYS SWIMMING?!?!"

SWG shipped, a MMO that was almost a decade old with a UI that was movable and resizable. Recent games like Rift had even better from a company that spent pennies compared to BW.
Why are you not playing those games then?

See, again, I have to question the thought process at work here. You claim these games are better, but here you are. My question is why?

Ah, resorting to insults. Good call. I been MMOing for 10+ years, it is my passion and it saddens me when a games that have potential start to fall flat.
You mean, like when people such as myself get called "fanboi" for posting our opionion? Lets not go there. ;p

As said, I am a long term MMOer. There has been a handful of games I have played for years, like say WoW which was 7. I have the capacity for a very long attention span, it all depends if the game has the ability to do that. TOR does not so far, but BW could improve many aspects if they choose. But sadly, seeing how long it takes them to do things now...it's going to be a bit of a wait.

In end this game is exceptional 1-49. After that it's just another mundane gear grind game.
If you are the "Long term" MMORPG player that you state that you are, you would know that there has never been an end game at release, Not UO, Everquest, EO, Rift, Wow, Ash, DAoC. Not a one.

I've been in beta for just about all of them. I've played all of them. How could you not know that about MMORPGs if you have been playing them as long as you are inferring?

You can contend that it is flaming simply because I am questioning your logic or state of mind when doing something that strikes me as obsessive if you like, but, well, there it is.

You will spend more then that taking a girl out on a date. Does he blog that if she does not accept a second date? You spend more on a couple of slices of pizza and a beer then you do for a month long subscription to this game.

I'm not buying the "hard earned money" thing. I see that as just another excuse for the behavior.....and again, why I am questioning it. There is something far deeper then just "Hating pixels" at work here and I'm curious.

That is called defamation, skip. Disparaging another based on your unfounded, unproven opinion is not "opinion". Please, before you attempt to lecture me on the principles of opinion and debate, know what you are talking about in that context. ;p

.

A game that you have left? A game that you are not playing? No, sorry. Normal is to stop paying and move on as its only a game. I left Wow. I canceled, moved on. I did not blog about it for a few months afterward. This is not normal. It tends to sound like control issues, "I quit, so I fee that everyone should quit and I'll do whatever I can to sway them in that direction". There is where my curiosity lies.

Does he do this with everything? Is it just games? How many games has he rage quit in the last year?

Here is the part you seem to be missing. it is your opinion....and no one cares. I actually disagree and feel they delivered an excellent product, and do not want to waste my time slogging through a bunch of "I hate this game" posts by people that have already quit the game.

I come to this board to read about the game, not your blog on how you don't like it and left. Move on. Don't let the door hit you in the arse. Let us continue to play the game, and I hope that you find more satisfaction in your next game.

If you bother to read the title of the post you might have more success in reading what your looking for. Move on, don't let the door hit you in the arse

There is nothing to do at 50 if you don't like your 3 points. Quite frankly this game is a single player MMORPG with multiplayer elements. You cannot even make your own professions yourself. Its all done by your companions which completely removes stuff to do in free time. I liked in WoW having a 450/450 profession or whatever number it is. It was extra special that I did it myself and it was rare for people to actually have a full profession so the economy thrived from it but in SWTOR they seem actually pointless and economy is dead (removing another option to enjoy yourself)

Therefore other than your 3 points there is absolutely nothing. Single player rpg is what this is, it needs changing fast and I mean a large patch replacing all planets as a free roam. I played WoW and Rift and all the zones in both these games are free roam and not corridor style. You could venture up a mountain and climb over the other side whilst in star wars it is just a pile of fail. Also with WoW and Rift there was different options to level etc.

Sorry but way to over hyped. Bring mini games for cantina or something else fast to keep us occupied whilst you re-make EVERYTHING.

Example: In tatooine you see a whole landscape, you run past the water gather things and get a timer to exit. I can see in the distance a quest hub and buildings but I cannot free roam across the sand to get there.

My anger cannot express how pathetic this is.

The only thing that I can do now is wait for guild wars 2 but I will continue to play this game. Just 100% guarantee you I will go to guild wars 2 when it is released bioware unless you make this game have features that I cannot refuse compared to guild wars 2 but currently I see nothing.

Also to add to my anger:

The "Whats to come" includes (this is meant to excite us and make us happy):
The developers speaking excited and enthusiastic about creating guild bank? *** a guild bank? Well done bioware you succeeded to fail again. The excitement expressed felt like it was some kind of revolution "omg a guild bank, something original" but no. I am not excited about this and I don't think anyone else is because it is so basic to MMOs now that it should have been implemented already.
Also Legacy: seems boring imo but new so should be fine
New warzones: Three at start was pretty pathetic but an increase in content should just be second nature to MMO.
New flashpoint: Again new content, nothing to be excited about. Just like every MMO updates.

So yer, they have continued to give us no more multiplayer options. Still the basic PvE flashpoints and PvP warzones/zones.

Quite frankly 300m wasted. Well done you absolute *****. What a waste of money.
