It's not, cannot and never will be perfect for everyone. But as it stands now, is done when it will affect the least amount of people.

To be honest, I happen to personally agree with the OP. I live in California, and very rarely do I go to sleep by midnight. I typically play until sometime between 1 and 2. (short commute to work, get up ~8ish. 6-7 hours of sleep is plenty).

I'd love it if they segregated the US and EU servers so they could push the US downtimes later, and (while they're at it) push the EU server downtimes earlier.

That being said, in all honesty, I've definitely noticed the server population takes a nosedive around midnight.

Your peak hours? Really?

You don't have peak hours. The servers have peak hours. The hours between which the most players are on the servers at the same time are peak hours. It's like rush hour traffic. You don't have a rush hour. The roadways do. There is no yours about it.

The server down time is perfect as is. It is fair to both the U.S. and European players.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

What's confusing about the concept? My peak hours are the best hours of the day for me to play. I absolutely have peak hours.

Yep, that's pretty much it.

I live in the GMT+10, so when it goes down, its pretty much when I just get home from work and am ready to start playing.. ergh anyway, you just get used to it. It's been that way in alot of MMO's i've played and all I can say is at least SWTOR is doing it regularly once per week -rather than 3-4 times per week. SWG was a prime example.. it would go down 3-4 times per week, it really did make it not worth subscribing in the end.
Re-subscribed SWTOR.. my server is empty and I can't pay for a transfer. Woo hoo, thanks bioware.

LOL not even close. As it stands now, it is done when my server is at its most populated. There are a LOT of people that the swing shift.

The community will probably be better off without delusions.
You should be begging people to stay, not telling them to quit. This game needs more players, not less. It's already hurting badly from all the people that have quit.
