i spent a sole hour circling the zones. i spent more than 30 minutes, trying to enter two different caves from the hints given in the thread i linked.

find me the non-pvp, non 'bash your head 2 times pointlessly into level 50 champions' way.

the latter is not supposed to happen by the way. it is apparent that those level 50 champions are standing in front of a zone entrance for a level 35 quest, so that the level 35 character should NOT enter from there.
whatever , plz stay oblivious to the obvious :s
Quoted of SWTOR Forums: can you make sword in box light sword so sword come out when opened? then if sword is back after sword, use light saber on box, and saber will be boxed after sword is out.

Come on man, this is just sad.

Apparently the 'intended' route which a particular class (Smuggler in this case) has to take for getting to a particular companion quest (corso in this case) passes from a ffa pvp zone. alternatives are guarded by level 50 imperial champion npcs.

while it is apparently possible for the player to run through the npc zone, get killed in the process, and rez again and continue its path, it is evident that the intended route for this quest passes from the ffa pvp zone.

that was probably intended as a means to 'encourage' world pvp.

............

i dont like world pvp. i dont want to pvp. if i wanted to pvp, i would roll on a pvp server. i havent rolled on a pvp server. i have rolled on a rp server.

therefore, i dont like being forced into pvp. and im telling this as a gamer who spent the last decade mainly doing pvp.

...............

players dont like being forced to other playstyles. and it is utterly, utterly stupid to force players to adhere to another group's playstyle and taste, in order to accommodate the other.

do NOT force players into playstyles they dont like.
Did you go through the FFA PVP zone? Because I did and it was a ghosttown, there was no one there.

OP reminds me of the Office when Michael drove his car into a lake because the GPS told him to.

How about you stop freaking out?

God.

Shut up. How about you actually take the quest tracker instead of reading something in a weird thread and starting up your own thread about something that you didn't EVEN experience.

Shut. Up.

i have told for FOUR times that, those caves DO NOT WORK for me. i found TWO Caves, and they were RED to me. simple sentences should not be so hard to understand. this is my FOURTH time telling this in this thread ..... fourth. 4, if you write it with number.

They do work for you. I know this is hard, but you are wrong.

I'd let this thread die if I were you lol. Also, you are allowed to use critical thinking skills while questing. Don't drive your car into a lake because the GPS says go straight.

In the time it takes you to make this thread, and defend your views...you could just grit your teeth and get it over with.

Learn to cope.
I can't heal through stupid....

It's a GREAT idea to do things that force players out of their comfort zone. It's a PHENOMENAL idea, in fact.

You just do it in a manner that involves only a minor amount of discomfort, and you don't make them repeat it on a regular basis.

A game such as a themepark MMO, which is what SWTOR is, NEEDS TO GO OUT OF ITS OWN DARN WAY to make players get on some rides they don't think that they will enjoy. It is how you get people to experience the content.

Many players will be put into this situation, find that they indeed do not like the ride, and never get back on again.

Others will find out that they LOVE the ride and want to get back in line over and over again.

You may not like this one aspect of the game, but it's still great game design.

I gotta say that this is entirely true. I don't like being forced to raid when I'm not in a game to raid or to PVP when I'm not in a game to PVP either...or for that matter to grind when I don't feel like grinding anything.

Sometimes, yep, I really do just want an icecream-and-cake experience where fun is just an idle stroll away and I don't have to work or try or bust my behind to do a single cotton-picking thing.

And it would be a terrible game in the MMO genre if it delivered nothing but that.

Cake-and-icecream are nice sometimes, literally and in the analogized contrast. Wouldn't want to try to live on them.

On the other hand, they could do some work on diversifying and better balancing certain things. Right now, if you want gear that is relevant to anything endgame, you gotta farm hardmodes or farm ...well, mostly huttball frankly...but warzones in general for PVP gear.

Not real keen on how they've structured that. Wish crafting was just flat better.

Sometimes, I don't want to deal with anybody and I just want to sit in my anti-social corner and craft things that will be useful to me and possibly others.

Kiiiind've a hagbag to try doing that with several of the craft skills at this time.

PVP? Can't say I've ever been forced to PVP for anything I cared about. I hit the ...mostly huttball matches fairly frequently when the whim strikes me on the one toon I have I enjoy PVPing on, and have branched out onto my healer for, frankly, the lulz, but I have no expectation of ever (at least not this side of next year) being a Battlemaster or even realistically considering PVP-gearing.

I don't care that much. For those that do, and hey, for myself if I ever decide I wanna PVP more, I -seriosuly hope- they enrich and fix and tune and balance that whole slagheap soon and to a quality spec.

Because I'd hate it up one side and down the other if I cared more, and those that do care more are paying the same sub fee as me. They shouldn't be shafted with crappy forced gambling with bags, forced to rely on supplementing their gear acquisitions with Ilum dailies that it seems hardly anybody can even do anymore (at least on my server. Been trying for several days to do a PVP daily out there and it's just...dead. People do the PVE dailies and that...is...it on my server).

Raids? I like raiding sometimes. Get the right group of people in voice and the raid itself becomes the equivalent of going to a particularly fussed-up bar where you might just wipe because someone started quoting George Carlin in the middle of a boss fight and half of everyone was laughing so hard that almost everybody died in a fire.

When I'm forced to raid to craft anything relevant? Bollocks, says me.

When I have to farm hardmodes until I'm so bloody sick and tired of dialogue I enjoyed the first few times that I just want to set fire to somebody so I can maybe get the stupid crafting material I need to make the stupid fairly ok Rakata craftable I want and some yokel rolls Need on the dang thing -and then asks how much they can sell it for on the market-? It's BOP you twack, thanks for playing, now gdiaf.

So, as someone that also hates to be forced, I can say that I sympathize to a point, OP, but the point you're standing on...ain't that point.

You passed it a ways back.
