Why questions on Aliens!

Just in case I missed something I have no idea why it is the way it is. Why is the Empire so down on aliens? The Sith are the top dogs of the Empire and there are a lot of alien Sith. So why all the hate?

And something else! IF most aliens are derivatives of humans, why are they aliens? Chiss are blue with red eye, so, what makes them so alien?
If it was that easy, everyone would do it!

For you: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/COMPNOR

And about sith and other aliens. The empire works this way: force sensitives>humans>aliens

Quote:
The New Order, which was the underlying ideology of the Galactic Empire, was strongly supported by COMPNOR. It criticized the perceived decadence and weakness of the Republic, and advocated an authoritarian and militaristic social and political culture.

The New Order emphasized Human and, to a lesser extent, near-Human supremacy, with other alien species like Wookiees, Mon Calamari, and Lurrians subjected to discrimination or outright slavery. Antislavery laws were repealed and legislation legalizing the persecution of aliens was passed. As a result, the vast majority of the government officials were composed of Humans, with only rare exceptions like Grand Admiral Thrawn climbing in the ranks of the military.

Edit: Chiss are not humans, nor human derivates. they just look like humans, beside skin and eye color

Thanks so much for the reply. I am shocked that I had a duped thread! I read the Wookiepedia link that helped. But I had read the Chiss along time about and I thought they Chiss didn't even know where they came from. Some thought they were a ancient human expedition.
If it was that easy, everyone would do it!

What is not clear is what race can mate with each other.

It also says indeed that Chiss might be a long lost human colony, so can they have kids with Human?

Sith Pureblood apparently can, but can Twilek mate with human? And Ratataki? etc

Guess we ll see that when they implement the legacy family tree.

I think it's been said that humans and twi'lek aren't able to have children with one another.

And sith only had children with humans through their Alchemy.

the Galactic empire was originally based on the nazis, so the no aliens relates in many ways to racial purity, but in the star wars essence it is species purity, not mixing in alien blood
