Introduction of arenas should come AFTER they fix world PvP and do more class balance. Arenas are bad if they are the source for best gear like they were in WOW because then you force people to have to do them. Make arenas an optional part of the game or let people do it for fun, thats it.

Their engine can't handle battles of that magnitude, etc etc.

Area's are dueling. You are welcome to duel on your own time if you like, but no one should be rewarded for dueling. Arena's are the most exploitative to specific classes over others, some classes are not designed for dueling while others are. End result, Dev's attempt to scale and mod classes because of arenas instead of the rest of the 99.9% of the game because Arena QQers scream til Dev's respond. So lets fix the problem and ban anyone that asked for an Arena instead.

Every class in the game has some sort of synergy with another class, which can be used to their advantage in a small scale PVP setting. 1v1 is dueling, as per the definition. A prearranged, formal combat between two persons, usually fought to settle a point of honor. Arena is not dueling.
