A majority of companies carry out there own evaluation and testing and run there own metrics as you call them as there the ONLY people who have access to the actual figures and accurate data .....

Trying to persuade people otherwise pure silly lol

As the guy previously said .... 8-9k crits compared to 4-5 is way overpowered is should not been needed to so call "Attract" people to er healing ... lol that in itself is a daft statement. People go healers because they like healing not because they like to 2 shot ppl dps wise in an arena.

I have a healer and gasp shock horror you know what I do in pvp .... yes amazingly I HEAL!!! shocking isn't it ....

You really do sound like a FOTM guy who's bubble has now been burst and you back down to mere "normal" damage lvls lol
What in God's name are you talking about, rofl? Did you even bother to read what you posted before posting it? Please explain to me what you're talking about in the bolded statement because I honestly do not know W T F you're talking about or where that even came from.. What does me playing a Scoundrel healer and saying that I know how to deal with scrapper specced dps scoundrels have to do with me DPSing?
Empathetic (Chaos Legacy): 50 Scoundrel (Sawbones) Healer, Empathetic: 50 Sage (Seer) Healer on Helm of Graush and various other Alts.
Been playing pvp Support/Healing in nearly every MMO since 1997 UO.

Aw come on. It's not the end. It's a new start. Isn't that the FOTM motto?
Choices need to matter! If I die I need to live with it. Hardcore!

You need to test your game and use your own metrics before implementing any class changes in game. Do not go by made up scenarios and imaginary numbers that forum posters use to try to make a point. That's the mistake of past mmo devs that has caused their subscriptions to dwindle in the past and I say that as an MMO veteran since 1997 UO, that has played nearly every MMO since then. You should, if possible release surveys in game to also see how players feel about x and x changes before implementing them. You can also use surveys to see if players think some classes are over the top, currently. You will see that the majority of people that actually play the game at 50, don't feel like the random forum whiners/posers that aren't even 50 yet.
You know why they need a nerf, There are several on my server and can have 4 dps classes pounding them and still outheal the damage done to them. I could understand 1 or 2 but 4 is a bit rediculess

You know what makes me laugh..

The Op players saying 'You BREAK OUR STUN WITH CC BREAKER AND RUN AWAY!". This is HIGHLY disingenuous for multiple reasons.... One they are pretty much proving their lethality by saying "When we jump you the only way to survive is break, RUN AWAY, and hope your team saves you from them" (which is the paragon example of a class being overpowered). Second, the minute you break their stun they can Reply with SEVER TENDON. Finally, Ops/scoundrels work like dagger rogues from WoW in PvP..... meaning you turn your back to them and they do the majority of their damage against you....

Now Sever Tendon slows their target down by 50% and if they are semi intelligent they will have specced into Pin Down which roots the victim for 2 seconds. Since Resolve only works on Stuns, knockbacks, and knockdowns the roots/slow will still apply.

So the player will be rooted in place for 2 seconds after they CC break and will be slowed by 50% for 12 seconds... meaning 2 seconds of being rooted and 10 seconds of being slowed by 50%.

So, the reality of the situation is this. Op/Scoundrel opens you for retarded damage, you pop your CC break, they snare/root you while continuing to DPS you, if your CC is not on cooldown you CC them, they break your CC, now if your resolve (meaning you are somehow still alive) is down they hit you with with dirty tricks and finish you, but if resolve is up they continue to DPS you and finish you....

FACE ROLL.... that is what they are... The fact that they act like they do not have Sever tendon as an ability which they can turn into root makes them either HORRIBLE players or disingenuous liars.

U described wow ??? Because this did happen in wow 2 and it didn't die and I remember whining ppl about it also !!! This is pvp ! It will always be unbalanced for the most ppl it's like being unhappy about politicians ! Anyway try to see the pvp in a whole picture and not only from ur point or view and Ian saying this as a trooper vanguard shieldspec maybe the most broken class in this game atm for pvp (cuz of defensive stats)I don't care if I suck now as long this cycle as u said exists cus this is actually thAt keeps mmos alive!!

It is kinda funny how Vanguard Shield specs and BH Shield Tanks are so superior to their Sith/ Jedi tank spec counter parts =(

yeah 8-10k crits doesn't need to be adjusted? You lost all credibility from the above statement.

Operatives, Mercs and sorcs will be getting nerfed. They deserve and it should be done. Everyone knows it is over the top and yes it is coming, deal with it.

The most common reason given against the nerf is the overall dps will be hurt....

Why are we seeing ops/smugglers hitting the top of the damage charts in pvp matches then?

It was supposed to be that they burst because after that they are useless and die (that is what every op/smuggler says). But how is that possible if they are doing more overall damage than a marauder, or sorcerer or other classes that have little burst but good sustained damage?

The truth is the OVERALL damage from the AC's were too high and BIOWARE did INTERNAL testing to determine if changes were needed.

They absolutely plow people in 10-49, in the 50 bracket they are still getting too much of an edge by starting fights by taking 50-75% of the enemy hp, even if they don't kill them.

The community doesn't need to post to the forums, all you have to do is watch the FOTW class.... there are TONS of low level ops hitting the 10-49 bracket, they aren't doing it because the class is so gimped.

Again, this had nothing to do with forums, it had to do with the game developers testing and changing something that was wrong.

TLDR ...

However I think the OP will probably fit into his own category.
