I've gotten a 5K medal 3 times since buff stacking was removed with my Scoundrel. Is that OP? 3 times in at least 50 warzones? Thats with using wz adrenals and my crit/surge relic.
I had 13500 HPs the last time I PVPed (I've since gotten more with epic gear from dailies but gave up on pvp for more than obvious reasons for now) and when I ran across operatives I would frequently see my HP in the initial strike go donw to nearly half... they would attack a bit for their global cooldown, vanish and then immediately re-apply their opening strike. Dead in less time than it takes to say "Holy crap... I'm being attacked by an operative."

The vanishing skill that classes have (mine included) was in all liklihood never intended for multiple from stealth strikes on single targets... this is why MOBS reset when you vanish on them.

You want some of your damage back - admit that you were double dipping and that you knew about double dipping and get them to change your vanish ability so that YOU CAN"T immediately attack from stealth after using it.... otherwise effin' deal with it.

Griefing doesn't make you cool. It doesn't make you better player. All it does is tell the rest of the world that you are not someone worth knowing.

As a ~600 Expertise geared Battlemaster Healing Operative, I can say that I've never ever had problems with Concealment spec (that's the stabby one) Operatives (and by extension, Scoundrels). I hardly ever see anything above a 5K crit to my 17K Health Pool from their opener, and am always over 50% health after their initial opener. They are INCREDIBLY susceptible to CC/Kiting due to their natural lack of any utility whatsoever to prevent this, and are a free kill for me, a healer, after they open on me. Cleansing their snares/acid blade also ruins their damage as well.

And guess what? After their opener, their damage is god awful unless they can somehow manage to escape and restealth, which is nigh-impossible to do since Concealment Ops have no sprint and next to no utility for means of escape (other than 2-minute cooldown Vanish), and even if they do get away it take 20-25 seconds for combat to end anyhow.

So, unless a Concealment Op opens on me when I have no trinket, and then vanishes and opens a second time in the next global, they stand ZERO chance of killing me ever, period. God forbid a class use every cooldown it has to kill one person, who used no cooldowns of their own.

You will very seldom see a single Concealment Op after their nerf goes though. They already do no damage after the opener, and now it's getting even worse. Meanwhile, nothing is being changed about, say, Pyro-spec Powertechs, who are one of only a few things that can kill healers in the game 1v1.

But don't worry, Johnny McLevel10 got crit for 10K by a Concealment Op who popped every single CD he had to achieve this max hit (which he can only do once every 2-3 minutes), and Johnny McLevel10 proceeded to come to the forums to cry about how Battlemaster-geared Operatives using every CD they had against his level 10 white-geared character managed to two-shot him.

OBVIOUSLY BioWare didn't just listen to whining idiots - they know how to BALANCE a game...

Based on the OPs post and signature, it is clear he is unhappy about more than just SWTOR.

You need to test your game and use your own metrics before implementing any class changes in game. Do not go by made up scenarios and imaginary numbers that forum posters use to try to make a point. That's the mistake of past mmo devs that has caused their subscriptions to dwindle in the past and I say that as an MMO veteran since 1997 UO, that has played nearly every MMO since then. You should, if possible release surveys in game to also see how players feel about x and x changes before implementing them. You can also use surveys to see if players think some classes are over the top, currently. You will see that the majority of people that actually play the game at 50, don't feel like the random forum whiners/posers that aren't even 50 yet.
Aren't you whining right now?

I mean what is the point of coming on here to whine about whiners it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Just because you say the game is doomed doesn't make it true.

If you want the damage back - make them change the vanishing skill so that you can't double dip your opening from stealth attack. All other games I know of with a vanish skill intend it for one thing and one thing only... getting away... not for applying a second obscenely huge amount of damage in the same fight. There's a reason MOBS reset to full health when you vanish fighting them. Maybe you'd prefer player's health reset to full as well when you vanish on them?
your the stupidest person in the forum is you think any tool is for any singular intent its why you ***** about operatives its why you lose sorry

I lol'd.

No but seriously, classes get nerfed. And as long as it's not my class I'm OK with that.

I'm on a PvP server though, and these guys hit hard...

Amen!

You can't simply justify a class taking out geared toon's in 4 seconds flat while they lie helplessly on there face unable to fight back. No amount of crying and saying otherwise is going to convince anyone with an ounce of common sense.

The OP/Scoundrel was roflfacerolling people, all you have to do is go watch YouTube and see geared Bounty Hunters with 17K health being destroyed in 5 hits to realize that a balance is needed.

Im an op OP, we needed a nerf.
Stealth class having an opener that is the most damaging ability in the game coupled with a 6 second CC is broken. Period.

So they completely butcher operatives/scoundrels in both pvp and pve for no good reason, meanwhile completely ignoring the 1000000000 sorcerers/sages and 5000000 mercs/commandos that are spamming heals while being nearly unkillable themselves.

I'm sorry, but when I'm running around the warzone with 300k damage done and only 10 kills, no matter how bad I am, this warrants some discussion. Healers and tanks are breaking this game, and it's not even so much their classes themselves as much as the broken unbalanced stat that Bioware decided to introduce without any thinking or reasoning into this game just to copy WoW's resilience, and they copied it extremely poorly (resilience is there just to prevent damage, not increase healing done or damage done, the way expertise is now is stupid, all it does is make newer pvp players hate their life as older ones shred em to pieces while emerging from combat unscathed).

Yes, I'm ranting, but seriously, why did they nerf scoundrels/operatives when neither class is all that good, and all they do is burst and then die if they failed. And to add to that, who's bull******** here saying that operatives/scoundrels can do 8-9k crits in one go, top I do without expertise buffs is 4.8k, and that's on people that have nearly no expertise themselves, and I have 300 expertise (not a lot, but enough to give you an idea of how ******** 8-9k hypothesis sounds, at least on same gear players)

P.S. Bioware, if you're gonna be like this, I'm not buying anymore of your products, Mass Effect 3 included.

I felt like Ops needed a nerf in 1 respect only... their knockdown was ridiculous. Their damage output wasn't a problem except for the fact that stunned on the ground for 3 sec you can't knock them away to recover. Even this wouldn't need to get nerfed if resolve wasn't so horribly implemented.
