Hi,

A friend of mine is having some account issues and the email responses from the support are taking too long. They have suggested that he call but he is having problems getting through on the number given.

Just wondering if there are any other Australians that have successfully contacted support via phone and if so what number did they use?

The number the provided for support calls was +44 203 564 2555. of course being in Aus, we need to dial 0011 1 first. We have tried 0011 1 44 203 564 2555, 0011 1 203 564 2555 and a few other variations with out success.

Cheers for your help in advance

+44 doesn't look like a U.S number, so you wouldn't use 0011 1 -

According to google +44 is the UK, so you'd dial 0011 44 etc

Dial it as it's written ---> 442035642555

Worked from NZ.

If you're using a mobile, or if your home phone has the option to do so, make sure you add the + before the number, which is:

+442035642555

I had the same problem initially with the number provided with a customer service e-mail I got but the number as listed on the http://www.swtor.com/support/form is correct.

Greetings More,

The Customer Service number is a UK number so from Australia you would dial 0011 442035642555

The + symbol represents the international call prefix for your region. Please see the following wiki page for the international call prefix for your region: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._call_prefixes

That didn't work from NZ - just used the numbers without any prefix, like this ---> 442035642555

And if I were you OP, I'd believe the people rather than believe "customer support" guys, like they know anything that wasn't written down for them first.

ofc that didn't work from NZ. In au they have a the prefix 0011 for when calling, the country code for UK is 44, which is why he needs to use the 0011 before the 44.
In NZ where you don't use a prefix (from what I know) you only need to write the country code..

the + before 44 is indicating that you need to use your countrys prefix if it has one. OP should in this case believe the CS and not this user as he doesn't know what he is talking about. check the link the CS gave for more info

I didn't need to use any prefix is what I'm saying. Wasn't referring to the Aus prefix mentioned - I'm saying you don't type any prefix in.

I just tapped in ---> 442035642555

And *she does know what *she's doing, because prefixes did not work (from NZ at least).

CS knows doodly.

As I said.. in NZ you don't need to use a prefix as you use the standard 00, however as this OP is having a problem in Au where you use the prefix 0011, this needs to be dialed before the country code.. The information given by the CS is right, for a country not using the standard prefix 00, you need to include this instead of the +.
