Worked a treat for me. It also made warzones semi playable for the first time since I got the game. Great stuff. Thank you.

I'd be really interested to know why its the community coming up with these fixes and not the devs :S

When that is checked FPS should never ever exceed 60, it should stay steady around that...which I usually did

My FPS are spiking between 75 and 100 while riding around ....and this will actually burn cards out, which people dont realize.
Now how would that burn out cards... don't be silly. That would never burn out cards.

I don't seem to have these files on my computer. Pretty weird. The Appdata folder is non-existant and I serched for the files directly and came up with zilch is there some way that Win 7 is hiding them from me?

So, what I did was go to my settings folder (C:\Users\Jae\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings), do not paste this into your search bar, because it has my name in it, but follow a similar path. Take your client_settings.ini and Graphics_mirror.ini files out of that folder and move them to the desktop (in case this doesn't work). Then load the game normally, and at the character selection screen, bring up your graphic settings and change them as you desire and apply. Then spawn in.
My fps went right back to where I had managed to get them pre-1.1 after this short process. Hope it helps someone else.
Thanks a lot for this tip!
Worked for me.

if you are afraid of your gpu running too hot, you can always use programs to limit/cap the fps.

you can look for a program like "Bandicam" easy to use and freeware. you can set a fps limit even if you are not recording the game with this.

hope this helps

I personally dont have any fps issues , never had (ati 6970) not even on imprial fleet .
BUT yesterday (after patch 1.1 ) ,for the first time i entered the Imperial fleet and the frames droped from 80+ to ~20 !!!

so i'll try this and see if it helps..
If it does i will worship you my friend!!

I would just like to say thanks. I was skeptical that this would work at all, but when I tried it I was shocked! Went from 9FPS on Balmorra to 30 FPS. Thank you for doing what the devs haven't and made SWTOR playable again! You rock!
