Ok, this patch of the patch 1.1 did allow me to go into the client.default file and change Full Screen = True , to nake it read False instead. Whatever they took out or added helped. Now I login jsut fine. No more black screen

I was getting alot of graphical tearing and artifacting after the 1.1 update so I decided to try this and it worked. Thanks for posting!

This fix works great thx!

Bit nitpicking: the threat title is so misleading, if it was something like "easy fps fix" many more people would click on it and solve their problem.

Thank you! This worked for me as well, but only if you do it at character screen!

So, what I did was go to my settings folder (C:\Users\Jae\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings), do not paste this into your search bar, because it has my name in it, but follow a similar path. Take your client_settings.ini and Graphics_mirror.ini files out of that folder and move them to the desktop (in case this doesn't work). Then load the game normally, and at the character selection screen, bring up your graphic settings and change them as you desire and apply. Then spawn in.
My fps went right back to where I had managed to get them pre-1.1 after this short process. Hope it helps someone else.
Hi guys just want to say if you don't see the files just go to Computer in start menu, double-click C, once inside the drive do a search with the line that MidniteZebra provided but change the Jae underlined on quote to whatever user account is yours, once the search is done you will see the folder where the files are at and the individual files in it, I went into the folder took the 2 files indicated and put them on a new folder on desktop. Its not needed to play with the hidden folder if you don't want to.
