Whenever I play SWTOR, after 5-10 minutes of gametime, without warning or reason my computer goes into standby mode and after that I can not access ANYTHING on my computer at all.
I have a Windows 7 i5 Dell Studio XPS 8100 and my computer hardware obliterates the SWTOR game requirements by a bit. I do not see anything wrong, SWTOR is the only game this happens on. I then need to switch the PC off by the switch and restart.
I got this PC in January so age shouldnt have done anything to it..

Help would be appreciated greatly.

I have exactly the same problem - lots of people seem to be having this issue but no word from Biware yet. I've updated everything I can, tried with the sound disabled and no back ground progs but still getting this problem. I have a 8100 xps too.

You may want to have a look into your energy settings to check if your performance is set to high and you have turned off all energy saving options.

You may also find some help here in our help center:

Please let us know when you are still experiencing those problems. Thank you.

Can you please post your dxdiag file in the BBCode tags for spoiler here?

Here you can find instructions how to do a dxdiag.txt:

Just before it goes to sleep, does it sound as though the fans are working extremely hard?

There are many things that could be causing this, but overheating or a poor power supply immediately jump in my mind.

Are we sure it's going to 'sleep' and not the video card just cutting out?

I am very unsure what the problem is, it isn't my video card because any other game is fine. EVERYTHING is fine. Only SWTOR isn't...

I was going to buy the CE edition of the game but if this problem cant be fixed I dont think i will take the risk..
