After launching i get a black screen, the monitor says out of range, I can hear the movies playing put have no idea how to set the resolution

Note: The client and drivers are up to date, it ran great in the thanksgiving beta

I think there were some posters in the beta with this issue does anyone remember the workaround ?

Really wish there was a graphic settings option in the launcher

I was having this same issue. I guess the resolution that got saved somehow didn't fit with my monitor. Here's what I did:

I went to the folder on my comp:
Document and Settings\<my user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\SWTOR\swtor\settings
I run Windows XP, so it may be something slightly different if you're on Vista or Windows 7.

I opened the file called "client_settings.ini". I changed the following fields:
NativeHeight from 960 to 600
NativeWidth from 1280 to 800
RefreshRate from 120 to 60
That sets it to pretty much the lowest, crappiest resolution, but you can change that later in game for something better that, hopefully, isn't out of range.

Hope this helps!
