How to Improve FPS?

I'm not having serious issues like others on these forums but I am running a 2600k, 8gb ddr3 ram, intel 510 SSD and a GTX 580, and I am still getting noticeable slowdown in game.

Turning down or off shadows really doesn't make a noticeable difference aside from making the game look really bad.

Any suggestions?

WHat areas of the game are you noticing it?

If its the entire game, then theres an issue on your system.

If its just the fleet area and warzones, then you need to wait for Bioware and the GPU manufacturers to fix it.

You should stop trying to derail the thread. If the OP has issues over the game, then it is a user system fault. If its only in specific places, then its a game/driver fault.

OP:

Have you tried playing with Bloom turned off?

Have you updated to the latest display drivers?

Have you tried playing in windowed mode?
And these blast points, too accurate for Sandpeople.

I've tried all of that and there hasn't been a noticeable difference either way

I don't think that helped, it made the game look great but I'm noticing heavy mouse lag.

I lowered the AA value, it's running better but I still don't see a noticeable difference but I will test it further.

renegadeimp Seriously dude you derail everything single thread on this forum regarding FPS issues. If you don't work for Bioware then you should because you are by far the biggest fan boy I have ever seen.

The game is beyond messed up and needs some serious optimization fixes. Only after those are done can anyone safely say it is the "users" system who is at fault for fps issues.
