Hello, my friend is trying to install the game, but on her laptop the launcher text (update info, account info, etc..) is all unreadable.

I've updated her graphic card driver to the latest available, and it still did not fix.

Here is a picture of the problem:

This is preventing her from installing the game because she cannot read what is going on with the patching process! (We had to follow some procedure found on the forums because the patcher wasn't working properly, something I had to do for my computer as well)

Please help!

Greetings all,

This error has already been seen with intel graphic cards.

If this is the case then right click on your desktop and pick Graphics Properties. In the 3D tab switch performance to balance.

This should possibly solve your issue.

If this has not helped you, please come back to us.

I did as stated above and still no luck, text is still teared and unreadable.

I have a NVIDIA GTX275, latest updated drivers.
Running W7 x64.

I might also add that I had to boot my PC into safe mode in order to make the setup actually run from my disks.

Any ideas how to fix this text tearing? It's a bit of a major inconvenience as I can't tell what the patcher/launcher is actually doing..

I had this same issue. I found out it was a text smoothing application that caused the launcher to look this way, specifically GDI++ in my case. I disabled it and everything was perfect.
