Shadow and Assassin are the only real rogue classes in SW:TOR.

Operative goes stealth but isn't a huge damage burst class like the other two.

Is a dual sabre warrior that does have a small invisible skill for short period but is mainly a blunt force type of character in the thick of the fighting, diving in.

Wrong

The IA:Operative is the most like WoW's Rogue.

Op's have more control via stuns, poisons than Assassins.

Op's rely heavily on stealth openers for their damage etc.

Assassins/shadows are not really like WoW's rogue in any way other than stealth.

They are melee/ranged hybrids, more or less in either way depending on spec. Think of them more like Enhance Shamans than Rogues in this regard.

They have dedicated tank tree's, capable of Main Tanking like any other tank class.(yes, I know OP's can heal)

etc etc
Death is merely the final failure of the weak.

I would argue that the Op is more of a rogue than the assassin.

Wow...

So clueless, Operative and Scoundrel have the HIGHEST burst and the biggest cheese combo in the game, get your facts straight.

Was in beta for a year and I can safely say that Operative/Scoundrel are closer to a Rogue than Assassin/Shadow. This is based off playing both a very good amount of time.
All the way to Alderaan

If anything, DPS Shadow/Assassins, to me, are more like Paladins with Shadowmeld that moves. Now excuse me while I wash my mouth out with soap.
