I am currently playing the game on 'High' graphics settings and the resolution is at 1920 x 1080. I've been attempting to increase my in-game performance since this game came out. My current 'average' FPS is (50). When in the Imperial/Republic Fleet when there are over 100 members in the area especially when passing by a bundle of playes my fps drops to about 5 to 11.

Below is my dxdiag, and what i am planning to do to improve my fps.

My current plan to improve my computer is to buy a second video card identical to the one above, and crossfire them. The reason for this thread is to see your opinions on weather this improvement will increase my current average FPS considerably. Also would like to know what specs some of you guys are running, and how good is your fps?

Hi there.

My specs are:

Intel Celeron E6600 @ 2.40GHz (2CPUs)
2048MB DDR2 RAM
Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit
nVidia GTX560 display card

I play at 1920x1080, on high, and I get about 30-40 FPS.

Just don't expect me to alt-tab any time soon.
*Bweeeeeeeee biddleboddle boopboop!*

I have similar issues, but I look at it as a minor issue for me. Everywhere else the gameplay is smooth, so I can handle this one issue. My suggestion would be to not worry too much about it and certainly not spend money for it.

something is seriously wrong because i have a phenomII 565x2 unlocked to B65x4 with a Nvidia 450 gtx and i get 60 fps consistently. if i turn off shadows on HIGH settings it goes up to 80 fps.

Your drivers are out of date. The latest drivers on AMD site for your card was December 2011 and January 2012

Can your machine run SWTOR? Find out here.

I am on the 12.1a, newest ATI drivers, and believe me, don't expect a miracle. I got a minor FPS gain from it, but nothing noticable. My FPS still drops pretty badly at places (ESPECIALLY SMOKE EFFECTS)

I'm still saying, ATI cards are messed up on SWTOR. All of my friends who have ATI cards have significantly worse FPS compared to my Nvidia owner friends. (They have issues too but much less gamebreaking than ours)

SWTOR doesn't support SLI or Crossfire.

Wow so crossfiring, wouldn't make a difference? and basically us Radeon users are screwed? Can we get a dev in here to explain this?
