3) No. Ill repeat this. NO. It is BEST usable by a companion. Your class CAN use it, but not very effectively.

Why are you blaming bioware for your inabiltily to read skills correctly? As I said earlier - I got medium orange armour, not heavy. Thats MY fault - should I perhaps blame bioware for allowing me to use medium armour in the first place, or should I blame myself for my inability to read. Ill answer my own question - its my fault.
WoW... are you for real ?
So pretty much what you are saying is: Bioware (any game developer) makes NO MISTAKE.
If they put it there, than is working as intended. If they changed later on, is also working as intended.

There is no chance, what so ever, that they made a mistake (forgot), to allow the abilities to be used by another weapon? lol....

Once Again, you can't read really well can you ?
I am not complaining about Bioware making all those things... All I am complaning is about the Staff BEEN UNABLE to ANSWER THE QUESTION... Need more caps or got it now ?

And NO, I CAN'T use it...
If you use medium armor, your char still works.. your engines still work... you just take more dmg...
If you use the electrostaff, you can't use your abilities... You have NO IDEA what is a charge for an assassin right ?

You're awfully defensive about what is inarguably bad design.

It's bad design that I can't use a weapon (for which I have a proficiency that was granted AFTER I CHOSE MY AC) to it's fullest potential.

It's bad design that, in addition to the previous issue, they put one of those weapons on the loot table for a hard mode flashpoint. People will run hard modes to gear up their characters - not their companions.

Either Bioware screwed up here, or are being deliberately obtuse. Either way, this is a silly issue - the OP should be able to use the electrostave - or that item should have been replaced by a double bladed saber.

Flashpoint gear should be usable by PCs first and foremost - if you can hand it down to a companion, great. But Bioware screwed up here.

This is what happens when you outsource your support to China.

Saberstave is the only weapon intended for Assassins to use.

And you know this because you are a game developer working for Bioware right ?

Because, if you are not... there is NO WAY you can answer this for sure...

Once again...
Cunning 101... You cannot use a Electro Staff when you are Sith Inquisitor.

Congratulations, now you are a Sith Assassin. You have just learned to use Electro Staves...

WoW... COOL, Now that I am a Sith Assassin I can finally use an Electro Staff, right ?
Hmmmm no....

What I think is funny about ppl in this forum is:

I say, a GM in this game is clueless and was unable to answer my question.

Some ppl answer... Your question was stupid...

Ok, my question might be stupid. Altho I think it is not, and since many ppl here agree with me, I belive they also think it is not stupid.

And even if my question is stupid indeed, the GM should answer it, or at the very least say," I can't tell you that, you need to find that out for your self."

Btw. Just because my opnion is diferent than yours, it dosen't make me stupid, but it might make you, since you can't accept it...

Yes I am 'for real' not that I would ever use that god awful phrase.

Where in gods green earth did I say bioware makes no mistakes???

The PARTICULAR issue you are talking about was raised in beta, and was left exactly as it is - hence 'as intended'.

If at a later date bioware change their minds, then that is the new 'as intended' - I really dont understand how this is a hard or alien concept.

I could rephrase it to - Its as intended at the moment, but in time bioware could realise its a bad choice and might change it to be more sensible? Does that help your understanding a bit?

You cant use ANY abilties?

No, im not being defensive in the slightest. Is it bad design? Probably. In my opinion they should either remove it from the class, or make it fully usable by the class. That doesnt mean its not 'working as intended'. Just because a decision is a bad one, doesnt mean its not the intended one.

Why? There are certain companions that only use items that the player dont use - therefore if these didnt drop in high level encounters you could never gear up those companions.

They aren't going to do anything for you. They assist with game related bugs and database issues.

If you have a game design issue, this forum is the right place to post it.
This. I can't believe some people. Do they actually think they will be able to get something changed by arguing with a CS rep? Like a CS rep has the power or authority to go to a game developer and say "Some guy made a good point about (Whatever.) We should change it."

The same types of people who do this report bugged slicing nodes and expect the gathering loot off of them because 'it is only fair.'

It is just a giant waste of CS' time and prevents them from actually being able to address -real issues- they can assist with. End of the day, sorry bro, but no one cares if you think it is stupid that a move that says Requires Double Bladed Lightsaber doesn't work with a electrostaff.
