Again -- using an example completely different from what the OP is talking about doesn't answer the OP's request or points. All it does is indicate

1) you aren't bothering to read
2) you only care about your own experience

Go grind Esseles ten times hoping for an orange medium armor drop and watch the cutscenes fully every time without spacebarring through and come back and tell us about how fufilling it is.
Right back at you in red. You're just the opposite side of the game tyranny coin. Not special. Not even good at rhetoric.

Just one special pleading after another of why you way is the only/best way and it's okay to be intollerent of everyone else...

You and OP need to just do some man-up work in your life and understand this is an MMO with hundreds-of-thousands of players who are not, always, going to do it like you want. And the best thing to do is get over it, find some like minded players, and group with them.

And if someone, who could have done it by accident, violates one of your little requests:

GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON, IT HAPPENS, YOUR LIFE WON'T END AND THE GAME ISN'T RUINED.

Are we clear?

I think skipping story line quests or open world quests is stupid. No one is going to "grind" those. Anyone who hammers the spacebar through those is getting his own punishment in missing out on the story.

My points pretty much ONLY apply to FP's. Because, let's face it, after BT/Esseles none of them are masterworks of storyline.
Majynn, L65 Sorc - Harbinger
Garadan, L65 Jugg- Harbinger
Vongrath, L65 Op - Harbinger
Tradius Ahern, L65 Gunslinger - BB&B- Harbinger

So you would have them remove most of the one thing that sets this game apart?

Why do people want WoW but refuse to go play WoW?

Damn! I mean damn! See this is one of the many reasons why I joined a guild - correction - FORMED my own guild with like minded people.

Good grief folks, lol.

While I admit that I do skip cutscenes, I think it shows poor patience as a player who has never ran it and would like to enjoy the "movie" so to speak.

Now granted, the Op did say no cutscenes, but thinking of having an addon (which I am sure some person will make because addons do tend to bring out the worst in players *clears throat and whispers Gearscore* But the most simplest solution is to friend those who have your same mind set.

Forcing people to hit the space bar is either going to do one of 3 things:

A) You'll never get a group because most want to enjoy the cutscenes, hell, most are NEW players who need to be shown the ropes and never ran the content before.

B) You'll be labeled as a douche bag and barely get a group since some folks ACTUALLY enjoy listening to every dialog choice...on different AC's...on different factions. Some people just want to maximize the game to it's fullest potential

C) You'll be hard pressed to find a group because you would come as a d-bag.

However, playing devils advocate - the Op in question did make it known. I guess if he hadn't mentioned it, it would have been worse of a response.

Anyways, the reactions that this thread are given are totally justifiable...and funny.

To the Op:

The best advice is to create or run with your own guild. I hate to say it, but I do all my FP's, missions, and everything with my guild. Why? Because I don't have to worry about ninja looters, people whining about hurrying up because their cat is on fire or whatever, and just people in general who suck the fun right out of the game.

Thanks but no thanks.

Does it hinder social growth? Yup. Do I feel bad because I am excluding people who actually want to take things one step at a time? Totally.

But this is the end result...form or join a guild who has your same mindset.

EDIT: I want an addon that monitors someones personality to see if they are cool or not, so I can just steer clear of them and maybe just branch out to folks outside my guild. Until then...

Don't worry. You won't have problems with people not wanting to group with you. You'll be on more ignore lists than you can shake a stick at.

If I can suggest you something, before STARTING the flash point, POLITELY request the people if would they kindly (no pun intended) use the space bar to skip the group conversations. If one of the members of the team don't agree, just leave the group and continue wasting your time spamming LFM until you find enough people that supposedly would agree on that (still it wouldn't guarantee that someone would not lie to you and will still not use the space bar). Possibly it would take you way more time finding a group of like minded people agreeing (and complying) in that request than dealing with the supposed "delay" that enjoying the whole flashpoint experience, with group conversations and everything would take. And do you know something? There is NOTHING that you can do to prevent that.
I doubt that it would be that hard to find people willing to spacebar. I find more people spacebarring than not. You'll see it even more when the game ages a little more.

Talk about a moronic thread.

No problem. I only noticed this one day because I kept losing rolls on conversation choices and started paying attention to them.
