I for one am absolutely in favor of BW taking whatever time they need to fix this. If that means rollbacks, so be it.
agreed

Good thing credits are completely useless in this game.

An example ;

I have lots and lots of credits.
I buy every single auction put on the GTN for X material under a price I determine.
I put them all back on at that pre determined sell price.
I monitor the GTN and continue this.

I have now cornered the market in X

I now repeat for Y

With billions/trillions I can do this with any product I wish.

The rich guy gets richer and everyone else pays inflated prices.

This is just one simple example.
That doesn't work.
I, poor gamer, put x material to sell for... 100 credits.
You, rich boy, buys my x material and all the x material there's on the market. Then you put it a... 200 credits.
Then, i, again, poor guy, put my x material for... 100 credits.
Rich guy buys all x material on the market.
Put x material at 300 credits.
I put it a 100 credits.

And go on and on and on... and the rich guy doesn't get more rich.

Bad example.

The real question is, how badly have your economies been hit? All the prices on my server have remained essentially the same. And probably will. Those who used the exploit should be smart enough to not be obvious with the spending of their credits. If suddenly you see that all of the Ice Gems are being sold by Rich-Guy at a 300% price increase, you know what he's been up to.
Cadiva: The fundamental thing I have to ask is "am I enjoying playing this".

The only person who can tell you whether or not you should resub for TOR is you.

actually that does work. since when people buy up all the 100 credit ones they'll be forced to buy his and he makes this money back 3x faster. The only way this wouldn't work is if there a unlimited supply of something that has a higher supply than demand, in which case he wouldn't choose to corner the market on that item in the first place.

You know, at this point the only real way to fix the economy is to remove every single credit in circulation and reimburse players with a level-specific amount of credits for each character they have. For example, give level 20s 50k, level 40s 300k, level 50s 700k, etc.

It is unfair as all hell but it is also the only real solution.

I doubt they can come back from this, damage is done, economy was ruined with the way slicing was, now with this aswell happening for weeks already. Nothing really being rare and easy to get hold of anyway.

Economy was dead before launch, didn't stand a chance.
