No. It cost 300,000,000. Don't you dare shatter their world view!

Why are you using Norton? Switch to Windows Security Essentials. They're harmless blog sites.

do people really not remember how *********** terrible and buggy almost every mmo is at launch?.. id say this one is doing pretty well for a company's first ever attempt at a game of this type and scale. i know all the wow fanboys probably were not around for launch dying and having to put a ticket in to get ressed by a GM because the graveyards didn't work and your body despawned now that's game breaking. get over it its been 3 weeks weeding out the bad code to fix bugs in a game this size and complexity has to be mind numbingly painstakingly exhausting and know your game is full of whiny little kids who have no idea the amount of work that goes into it, all the while your boss is on you for results asap. Get your head out the clouds and have some common sense and realistic expectations.
and the kids saying they are "real" "hardcore" gamers and the real bugs/issues are only apparent to them is silly.and not to mention hardcore gamers make up a very small proportion of the gaming market and most company's admittedly are not focused on your needs/wants in a game. They are going to appeal to the most broad audience possible the casual gamer.

O and the guy who said ya it could have been better with no bugs, but would end up launching at the end of the year if not next year, god bless you sir you give me a glimmer of hope in humanity. Id rather have a game with some bugs than wait another year.

Well said.
You are not the target audience.
In fact if you think any game style is more REAL then another you need to find yourself another hobby, gaming is all about being entertained, the only people, like with sports, who can think of themselves different then others are pro's who actually earn money by it. Until then, it's your free time entertainment. Now if you want to play something you don't like fine by me, but don't go painting off other people as less then you just because they disagree. I was in a top pvp guild in Guildwars (serveral years top 100, a game that is based around interupts, spike damage and pressure) and i've done all wow content on heroic (no pvp in wow cause it SUCKED imo). And i absolutely do not agree with you.(wich is my gosh darn opinion)
You guys need to fall back to earth and realise you are not the only ones here. You might make some friends and the game might not be so empty after all.

While ToR is does have some issues you can clearly already see that it takes everything wow does and improves it imo. And don't be a fanboy cause i don't even tend to stay at this game, i'm going to GW2 when it comes out. Just passing the time here and having a freaking blast!

I'm going to be playing both! Why not? GW2 doesn't have a subscription fee.

The game is great, it's the customer service that is bad, but it will get better and better as the weeks and months crawl along. At least it better anyway.

This game should be better then any other game in more or less any subject of the game.

Sure the game will have bugs and faults, but there are so basic fundamental fails and bugs that should not have been in a game of this quality.

You have decisions made that you ask the question, why did they do that?

They do follow the "standard" MMO template for the most part, but leave out important parts that people actually notes. They have done a few things that make you wonder if they even are up to date with what they do.

EA and BioWare have put this game into a league of its own. They have pushed the hype and bragged wildly about the game and how innovative it is.

But when you have MMOs like Rift that is just a small indi game compered to this doing better release and are close to more innovative then what SWToR is, then you start asking questions again.

Don’t misunderstand me, the game is good, but this is not an indi game. It is the most expensive game in the whole wide world. This is the game released in its FULL glory, it is not an Alpha stage or Beta testing.
But the glory is not that bright. Just look around on the forum. Read up about what people find missing in a game of this proportion and what bugs that should have been taken care of in Beta. There are bugs from early beta that are still in the game that makes it unplayable for many players. There is a TON of small stuff that should have made it into the game before release. Not after. There are missing so basic things like a /LFG chat, or a /roll, just the ability to scale the UI. Something that almost every MMO there exist out there has. Again this is not an indi game made by a small company backing it up with a tiny budget.

A game of this magnitude should NOT be on the same level as Rift in any form or sides.
you say it you`re self in the last statment, "a game of this magnitute"

fixing code isnt just checking a post for spelling errors, and 1 fix may cause another part of the game to bug out, all of witch needs to be fixed and tested and what not.

So many games i have seen rushes to fix a bug ppl cry about, ending up breakign more, rushing is not the way.

As for the Beta testing, we dont know the numbers of ppl havign these majore bugs.

when 600k tests the game, and 10% have the bug, they can fix as best as poss.

But now, we only know about those who QQ on the forums, and most of witch dont know a bug from a ingame feature, and scale up that inhability to reason and know how a PC and a game works...

We got no clue how many got the issues now, it might be few hunder or a few thousands, i agree, ppl should not be having those bugs at all, but i rather see the ytake they`re time to fix it permanently than rush it and mess up so we got another bug to deal whit.

But assuming BW ignors us and what no /tinfoilhat issues ppl may have is ludacris, why should they should they deliberatly ignore bugs that ppl use to bash the game, and even aknowlaged they know about.

Everyone in my guild experiences some ffor of a bug, none even remotly majore or game breaking, but most of all, we all know MMOs, we know things take time, as they need to sort everything out.

And Rit was buggy as hell, nice launch and all, but it was buggy as hell, talents didnt work and some classes where so OP becouse of buged talents... this took the mover a month to fix, and thye had to keep fixing as classes where so buggy.
If i put a Troll in a box whit some poison and depleted uranium, is the troll dead or ailve?
(Dead, didn`t poke airholes in the box)

Most of the vocal haters seem to be the same 5-10 forum handles complaining about every single aspect of TOR.

People who experience certain bugs and/or hate certain game features tend to post their disapproval then move on.

However the ones that post 100 times a day about TOR's A-Z are not the majority, not even close as you'll notice it's the same few forum handles (names) over and over again.

You'll learn their names and then learn to laugh at what they post. It becomes predictable after a while. The thread can be about anything anti-TOR and the same few people will turn up to bash the game. Call a thread 'TOR gave my PC a virus!!!' or some such nonsense and you'll see the usual suspects hop in the thread to say how 'they agree. TOR gives PCs viruses and much worse!!!'

No discussion possible with those with such a mindset so may aswell use their postings as entertainment imo
I really do think other game companies namely *cough cough (Blizzard) hire and pay there people to come on these forums (aND others) specifically to cause turmoil in an attempt to dissuade potential new players from playing this game. Yes they are desparate and afraid....very afraid! And I want to kick every last one of them in the balls with steel toed boots!
