That said, weird feedback in this thread. Lot's of replies saying that we can't implement things that are in the 10-12 million subscriber MMORPG that is, ostensibly, this games blueprint.
If the people in this thread had their way, first-person shooters wouldn't exist because no one after the original few FPS games would've copied their features.

But when I see in the 1st line "third party add-on support" and then "Add a combat log" in the 2nd marked as highest priority and a MUST...

I stop reading the rest. A lot of ppl probably did the same.

I do agree with a lot what You wrote but those 2 ideas just make this whole topic (FOR ME) useless.

How does a combat log and third-party add-on support detriment your game experience AT ALL?

Just fix the graphics already, the fix you made made my game lag and I ran this fluidly with the great textures I used to have, now I can barely get myself to log in cuz I know the experience is so... lacking, now.

I want UI customization (similar to the one in GW), better optimization, class balance, dual spec, Warzone and Open World PvP improvements and a lot more.

But when I see in the 1st line "third party add-on support" and then "Add a combat log" in the 2nd marked as highest priority and a MUST...

The developers themselves have stated that WoW was their major inspiration, and considering the vast majority of systems and philosophies are more or less based on WoW down to individual ability mechanics, it's easy to spot.

What I do like is how you say we can't have a WoW clone but you want dual-speccing.

Third party add-on support could probably be dropped a little as far as priority; WoW did well without it for several months. However the fact that we didn't get a combat log at launch is extremely confusing. I didn't even notice it wasn't there until a friend pointed it out.

Overall I don't see why we shouldn't add things that are good additions, just because they happen to be in the most successful MMORPG of all time. Seems backwards.

Just for the record, Blizzard allowed add ons from launch. WoW did not have a period where it didn't have add ons unless you are talking very early closed beta. Even the latter stages of beta add ons were permitted.
Space, is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is. I mean you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space...

I dont mind combat log but third party support? Elitist much? even not, whatever you want to do in a game others would require you to download an add-on just to perform a job then it would stop being fun.

Wait, so...you are wanting them to take everything that Blizzard came up with for WoW and put it into the game? I hear so many people say this game is too much like WoW and thats why they are quiting, this will just make this issue even worse. I agree with everything you are saying, adding the third party addons and what not, i hate not having a Healbot type UI option

Warcraft had add-ons from launch.
