Seriously. Blizzard built an engine to fit their game, they're billions (trillions yet?) richer. You didn't, and you're missing out on Billions in part due to this decision.
Why?
Why Not ? - But if i had to Guess- Allready out, Cheep, and they Where allready familiar with the Engine.
10 Years and over 20 Mmo's and i still miss the first

Before we go bashing the Hero engine, it is possible that the engine itself is not bad and it's just the incompetent programmers at Bioware that messed up the game engine.

We are talking about the same programmers than can't create a decent patcher, have cycled through 3 different ability bar configurations in a month that get worse with each iteration, and manage to break everything they try to fix including essentially shutting down Ilum because kills don't count for PVP rewards anymore.

Bioware's development process is obviously completely out of control and any form of QC has gone out the window.

Of course, the engine might suck too.
. - We will never forget.

Because it's failed already (or is failing) in the east. Don't get me wrong, I plan on buying and playing and am as hopeful as the rest of you...but it's had a rough development history and inauspicious launch in korea.

On rare occasion I may see 1 or 2 abilities delayed but never more than that. And as I said this not very common (for me). Sucks that you guys have that issue it would drive me crazy.

This game is ridiculously stable compared to other MMOs I have played at release. Their QC is actually pretty good based on the overall stability of their product.

The graphics are dated and the clipping is obscene but MMOs have long development cycles so I am willing to cut it some slack at least until something better comes along.

Ultimately the buy versus build is not a question of being a lazy dev or not, it is a product design decision and not done by devs. They likely had input but probably didn't make the decision.
WHINING about WHINING is WHINING. My suggestion, post a way to help someone rather than complain about their whining.

They pretty much reqrote teh entier engine as part fo the development process. What's so hard to understand about that that you keep on posting over and over complaining about the Hero engine?
