Best MMO PvP you ever played?

SWG, but it was hard to get anything added to that game on its shoestring budget. Still, I miss it a lot. WoW for me never came close to SWG.

Bethesda won it's lawsuit against Interplay, so we should be seeing a Fallout MMO in about 4 years.

Warhammer Online (first 3 months).

EVE fleet battles were pretty laggy, but the small skirmishes between individuals and gangs were amazing.

Darkfall's open pvp environ had a lot of potential. I was ultimately turned off by the dev team that addressed and tackled issues at snails pace.

SWG in the first three months of launch was a lot of fun. Flagged, world pvp was great and there was enough freedom for player driven content.

I enjoyed EQ I pvp on Rallos and later Vallon Zek. Even with the level restrictions that were ultimately implemented.

Warhammer had a fun system, that quickly became stale after about three months of play. There is only so much zone control back and forth I could participate in before it became stale.

I'm beginning to wonder if all the people who say WoW has the best PVP actually ever played any other decent MMO with PVP in it. That being said, EVE is one of my favorites, I loved the rush I got from fighting in small scale skirmishes where there are actually severe penalties for dieing.

I always liked the competetive arena setting in wow, mindless derp zerging with scrubs in warzones gets old.

after 52 pages, i just saw many many many ppl who dont knw what's GW's pvp.

Dark Age of Camelot 2001-2005 (when I played) . The game had the best PVP and nothing will ever immerse me that much again. It's was mostly because of the fantastic community . Daoc was a hardcore game but everyone had their place. RVR was about taking Keep or defending your own keep . Capturing relic and controlling the war Zone. Leader emerged for each realm and some other gained bad reputation :P . VN board at the time was awesome.

But eh it's had tons of problem . I spammed doublefrost like a pro back in the day . CC was horrible in beginning . Ever seen a group of 15 people mezzed for over a minutes? But it's gave the game a 'feel' that no other game has ever done to me. Realm abilities not long after the game was released was released with free game content like Darkness Fall . DF was controlled by the realm who controlled the most keep (man that was awesome) .

Awesome Keep siege .. Epic relic raid clash of hundred of player and epic LAG of doom lol .
Problem is that today every player want their action RIGHT NOW . Daoc was the best PVP ever because of the player playing it and how it was designed. It's was not easy gearing your toon at the release of TOA but WORTH it. SInce when the RVR and fun started you had a blast.

PvP: Hands down DAoC was best I ever played

General: SWG (before combat patch)

PvE: SWTOR (only MMO where I enjoyed questing)

obviously Daoc, it goes without saying when you mention pvp of coarse it's going to be Daoc. There has never been another MMO equal to it.
