Bioware has stated more UI customization is coming. This is really a non-issue. ALL MMO default UIs are bad in my opinion which is why most people mod them heavily.

If YOU CHOOSE to not group because you have a companion, or because you have no interest in group content, that is YOUR CHOICE. That doesn't make this game any less multiplayer than any other MMO, just because YOU CHOOSE to not take part in social interactions.

This is the basis of ANY modern MMO, Solo content is available to you if you choose to go that route. Group content is also available for those who choose to go that way. It's choice, no MMO forces you to participate in a group anymore. So you might as well chalk WoW, Rift, Aion, EQ, and so on up into the single player with co-op category with this ridiculous string of reasoning.

You know. In my country in 1986 people fight communists. They kicked them out from the country. EVERYONE had a problem with them. Only few rise their voices.
Loot of your "MAJORITY" don't care. They will encounter problem after problem after problem and then they will just quit.

"MINOTIRY" are the players who CARE and they visit forum to discuss things. Sometimes they just whine about stuff. Sometimes they discuss but they always are trying to say WHAT IS WRONG. Same like some people in my country in 1986.

There was around 9 people except me on my planet. MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER - 9 people. From 4 hours queue I moved to 9 PEOPLE in less than 2 weeks. Who cares if only I from that 9 write here ? They probably feel same as me. Even if all of us are here then again - who cares ? ONLY 9 people.

17 days left and I'm quting to try some other games and check TOR again in few months. So in 17 days there will be 8 people. This is how Warhammer moved from 1.000.000 subs to few. This is how DC moved from bunch of people to nothing. What next ? F2P and premium service ? Well sorry but I don't have enough money to play "free" games.

I will try Terra Online and off course Guild Wars 2. And some other games. I will probably end up playing EVE or Fallen Earth again. 2 games that I constantly back to. Few monts of playing and then I try something new. I see that it's a pile of crap and I'm comming back to them. I played WoW for more than a year and then I moved back to sandbox mmo.
I played TOR just to realize how undeveloped and how bad this game is.

Who cares if I'm the only one who take his time to visit forum and write it down ? Just hope that there is no more people that feel the same way because if that's not true - soon TOR will have problems.

It's pretty funny. There is NO EA MMO that was sucessfull. WAR is dead. APB is dead. SIMS are dead. What makes you think that TOR will be different ? APB was great game but bad design destroy it. Noone cares that there was GTA like MMO ? Same with TOR. Right now THERE IS ONLY ONE THING that they made better than others. Voice acting. Everything else just sux.
And this is EXACLY what one of Bioware employee said before release. Bioware focused so much on crappy story (no turning points, simple and stupid) that they just forget to do everything else. Their problem. Not mine. And i will not pay for they mistakes. Simple.

Problem is people don't try to improve the game by pointing out it's flaws instead they resort to gloom and doom prophecy about how this game will end up like AoC or Rift, or WAR. Or they announce they canceled their sub. Well less subs means less development money so again that's not "helping".

I agree being constructive in your criticism is good but that's often not what happens.

It has NOTHING to do with looking at the wrong part of the screen! If I am fighting something or looking at my mini-map and someone says something to me and miss it HOW IN THE HELL IS THAT MY FAULT AND NOT BAD UI!?



So Diablo 3 is an MMO? I can play it single player or CHOOSE to group up, it has an AH, it has a story, it has dungeons.



You're dang right I find fault with me dying because while I am doing a lightsaber dance a mob is healing itself or killing me! You are dang right I find fault with not being able to read chat while I am out questing!

Every MMO have elements of the UI that overlap other elements. Just like an MMO if you are looking at your map, it's probably going to cover your chat window. Plus there's a scroll back feature.

Already said it. Most MMO UI's are terrible, wait for addons or don't. the result is the same, doesn't matter iuf this were WoW, Rift, WAR, Everquest, DAOC, no matter how much they improved their UI addons were still always better.




So WoW is a single player game because I can choose to play it solo or choose to group up?


Again NO MMO WILL FORCE YOU TO GROUP. You have to choose to.


Even FFXI the only major MMO I know of to actively force people to group up to get anywhere had a solo option.

1 - YEs there are bugs in every MMO launch but NOTHING like this! (don't even mention WoW at launch because Bioware has had YEARS to learn from WoW and other MMOs mistakes)

2 - I said MINI MAP! Heck even if I look at what I am fighting, and as for scroll up? So after every last fight or running I do to get where I need to be I should scroll up?

3 - WoW has turned into a lobby game which is why I have been looking for a new mmo.

This will be my last post directed at you because frankly I feel bad continuing this. You're clearly emotionally distraught to the point of yelling in anger.

The points you bring up here are either outright fallacious or once again subjective. You spent your play time alone, and chose of your own free will not to group with others. Based on this, the game is not an MMO to you. By your logic no MMO released since WoW is an MMO either. Your statement is an outright fallacy meant to support your argument, but arguments supported by fallacy fall at the slightest breeze.

You can't see the chat, but you refuse to look at it. What about me? I have no problem reading the chat were it is. Does that make me wrong since I don't have the same problem you do? Of course not. Once again the matter is subjective.

My advice is to calm down and try to think rationally. This is a game, there's no reason to scream and shout over it.

Yes they are ALL like this. None of them "learn" from what other MMOs do. They had years? Most of which were spent planning and storyboarding, coming up with concepts and how to develop the game.

Really if you expect ANY MMO to launch with all the improvements and bells an whistles of every other MMO in the past then you probably need to just leave the genre and look for a new hobby, because that won't happen.

And I said MAP, or how about the character, guild, inventory, ore quest panes?


read my edited post. You are not going to find an MMO that forces you to group. Doesn't matter that WoW is a lobby game. every modern MMO's group content is completely negligible. it's the same set up regardless of themepark or sandbox. Group play is always optional.
