Does anybody have a solution to this?
Honestly, I'm very disappointed with all this, which is sad considering how much I've been looking forward to this game, and not being able to get the damn thing to run is getting very, very frustrating.

Thank you for your response, however I had followed that thread already, but I did it again anyway, and none of those steps helped, the issue is still unresolved.

Please tell me the Support staff aren't as stumped by this as I am.

Greetings guardianlion,

Were you able to install the Service Pack for your Operating System?

Thanks for the response, I'm downloading it now, missed that step. Will update the thread once it's installed. If any other solutions are found please post them

Well I installed the service pack, and sadly it also hasn't fixed the problem.

I still have no idea what the problem could be considering nothing suggested so far has worked.

Does anyone have any more ideas?

Greetings,

When you try to run the Launcher(and it appears in the Task Manager but not on screen) please go to this location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic

Here, you should find a folder called 'Patch', please delete this.

Please also ensure that your Java is up to date.

Once this is complete, please run FixLauncher.exe(also in the above location), then please try to start the Launcher again.

Please post here to confirm if this resolves the issue.

Thanks for the response,

I've tried this solution numerous times after seeing it in another thread, but it didn't fix the problem.

Could you tell me what you think the problem is as well as potential fixes?

Just realized I've been trying to get this to work for 12 hours. Now I'm depressed
