This actually IS a great game .... My current shock about your dislike of SWTOR is that you've only touched on 1 subject ... which was PVP. Well then the title of this thread makes no sense because from what I read it said "SWTOR=Complete Fail". By "COMPLETE" one would assume every aspect is fail .... nothing works ... and everything is broken. Well guess what? Everything is not broken, there are some fun things to do and IF you get a few guys that know their class and know how to work together PVP can be fun too.. My Marauder is 29 and I've killed plenty lvl 50's in Warfronts. But I've had most of my victories when the team communicates and works together. My proposed fix is ... use a strategy ... use the environment ... Use the force .... otherwise go back to 1hit 2hit dead WoW.. I prefer to live longer than .5 seconds so I can have a fighting chance..

PS: Comparing WOW's launch to a game that launched 7 years later with a much larger budget is retarded. ToR just needed to look at what WoW does right, blatantly steal it, and then add the Star Wars and Bioware flare. And they didn't.
So you want to play wow with lazers?

Imo those fanboys who blindly protect the game will eventually ruin it. As I've heared from beta testers all the common issues have been known for over 5 months. And every time a critisizing topic was made on beta forums, inadequate fanboys started defending bioware saying "its only early beta", "wait till the release". The same thing is happening now, I wonder what will they say if nothing changes in a couple of months.
I dont encourage everybody to quit, I'm having rather good time myself but the game HAS issues, and those issues MUST be addressed.
I agree with u and ur right on the fact some issues have been in since beta...BW does have kinks to work out, but as their first mmo I just say more time is needed. If this kinda stuff is going 6 months after launch then I would be in the OP's state of mind =P

Let guy say his thing. I dont like this game also. Im stuck with the 3month subscription. And I think that alot of pple are dissapointed with SWTOR. It just aint enough to beat other mmorpg's. Bg's of 10 vs 10. No open world pvp. the Animation que thing just sucks. The game doesnt play smooth and yes pvp is unbalanced. Lag issues in flashpoints where youre just with 4 players. I can go on like this all day. Even the voices are boring and the quests... that's just sad.

And above all this isnt a Massive multiplayer game. This is a singleplayer rpg with a few heroic quests and flashpoints. For a game that had the time to learn of the mistakes of other mmorpg's this is a complete fail.

And pple start to complain of WoW. This is the most funny thing. A game with 11 million players is called bad?? I guess pple are hoping for a better game but it isnt still here and now they start hating. Typical human behaviour. I enjoyed WoW. I didnt even new that Warcraft existed when i bought it. Thats a game when it can atract all sorts of pple. Not just fans like this.

I will keep playing. Maybe they will fix this to a real Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, cause it doesnt feel massive to me and to a lot of pple right now and that i know.

I keep seeing all these posts about I am Quitting and I just have to laugh. Where any of you there when Wow was released? When all the x-EQ players were saying the same things.

Open world PVP? I guess Wow has awesome open world PvP too eh...only open world pvp i have been seeing in either games was ganking of people 20-30 levels lower then themselves

When wow was launched there where ZERO battle grounds...the bugs made the game all but unplayable for 2-3 months. There was zero badge gear, there was no modable equipment other then enchants. The crafting system was broken for a lot of the different trades, resource nodes where underground, up in trees, floating in the air.

Go back to wow...let us who have been waiting on this release to play and enjoy it for what it is and help the developer make this game great.

They've already confirmed 50s were getting their own bracket. And James Ohlen said new Warzones (note the plural) would be released via content patches.

As for balance, its the most balanced launch MMO I've ever played (I play a Sentinel btw - which everyone claims is weak, yet I wreck stuff).

The first content patch is this month (before we even start paying for monthly fees), and they said they will try to keep them just as regular.....

So why are people whining so damn much, seriously, if you didn't want to sit through growing pains...why'd you buy a launch MMO?

I'm HAPPY they haven't started tossing balance changes in the last 2 patches, kneee jerk reactions always make things worse.

You missed Arena? K, get out, I was Glad in WoW and hated Arena, and only did it because it was the only way to get top gear.

Maybe I'm just confused. SWTOR was marketed as a "Story Driven MMO" but people keep complaining about PVP this PVP that. I realized a long time ago that PVP is a Perk in this game. Its not the central focus at all. So yes its gonna take a back seat and seem a little out of place in a game that is banking on the overall player experience. I look at warzones as Demos of things to come once focus is put back on PVP. As far as WoW having 11 Million subs .... so? Old habits die hard, that in no way means the game is better. People get used to certain things and refuse to change. There are also people that put a LOT of time and money (7 Years) into WoW and just plain don't want to leave. Once you learn something and you're used to it, it becomes the norm. I myself never got too deep into WoW because it wasn't my cup of tea. I found many problems I had with it and personally SWTOR is a better fit for me. Now I may not be a Hardcore PVP'er but this isn't a PVP focused game either ... I love being involved in storylines, action, conflict and controlling my destiny AND I get to do that with some friends? I'm in! These are the things that drew me in so honestly I could really care less about PVP and how imbalanced it is.. I am just curious as to how MY story will continue to unfold :-)
