out of curiosity what PCI-E architecture are you running?

I ask because I retired the Pehnom 9600 AM2 socket MOBO and using the same gear on the new 970 AM3+ mobo have not noticed it either....

the PCIE 2.0x16 may be the difference as we ll as the processor power.

Umm no, that isn't true. I've seen it with two ATI cards, my wife has two Nvidia cards, we've both seen this and it is indeed very annoying.

Asking in the guild we are in who all has seen this green BS, most have. I highly doubt its graphic tearing or overheating, when I can play Skyrim, BF3, or other games on nearly the highest graphic level with no issues.

The other poster is right, they originate from the towers near the speeder ports. I didn't have this issue during beta either, oddly enough

My husband and I use nvidia cards, his is a GTX220 and mine a GT520. We both get this green graphic glitch. We also both have different computers, his an i7 and mine an i3.

Given that people see exactly the same graphic display bug on different systems/hardware, it is obviously something to do with the game coding.

BTW, before getting my GT520, I was running a Radeon 4300/4500 series card, same graphic glitch... EXACTLY the same.
This is another item that kinda makes me wonder. I'm not on a rant against the Dev team. So PLEASE ... do NOT take it that way. Something is causing this. I do not have this issue on any other game or program that I run. That is why I thought it to be an issue with this game. IMHO these folks DO WANT a quality game.

For what ever it is worth I personally appreciate the civil mannar in which most folks are discussing this.

There has to be a reasonable explaination. AND if it turns out to be a graphics card issue then so be it. There just does not seem to be a consistant answer at this time.

agreed. These are also usually a 45 deg razor thin, flat pannel. You can walk through it and it will disappear. As I walk up to it (I actually tested it) .. it can also cover the entire screen with a blinding affect ... like a very bright green light.

It’s those communication towers in every settlement or outpost.

They shoot a green laser to another and create a link between settlements. Problem is that a lot of the towers lasers shoot into the ground and miss the tower they are supposed to be connecting with. I rarely get the glitch, but can force it by standing near one of those towers and putting my camera on some screwy angle.

It’s a neat idea, as you can follow the beams to the next settlement or outpost, when they are correctly hitting the next tower.

Oh well, probably a bigger mess than we think to patch – I for one can tolerate my green laser jail cell for the time being.

Like I stated before, it happened to me in WoW. No other games at that time were affected by it. Just WoW.

A more powerful fan/heatsink placed on the card alleviated the problem.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm trying to provide an alternative solution. Most heatsink/fans for video cards are relatively cheap, and it's beneficial regardless if there is an issue or not.

The laser light show is the worst on Tatooine. Especially at Anchorhead on the taxi platform. It looks like it's caused by the communications towers. They have a green glowing light in them that sometimes shoots off into the distance and that line sometimes turns into a sheet of green light that covers the entire area.

Seen it there quite a bit. Thought it was just me. Using an Nvidia 560TI
