How can people not afford 210k?

I have 260k and I'm at level 38.

If you don't have that kind of money, you spent it on other things and didn't prioritize for the speeder upgrade. If you're broke, it's because you spent your credits on other things that I decided to miss out on for said upgrade.

I'm 38 and have 420k. The issue isn't the amount of credits so much as the increments being so small. Although the amount of credits definitely adds to the absurdity.

I was on my 90% speeder a little ahead of someone with a 100% speeder, and over the course of like 100 meters he got a couple of speeder-lengths ahead of me. And then he stopped and I passed him in a second or two.

I spose I just agree with the guy who said it should be 75%, 100%, and 125% or something. Not to harp on WoW, but they had a sensible mechanic with the 60% and 90%. (Or was it 100%?) I'm totally for doing stuff differently than WoW did, but if I'm putting down 210k I'd like to get a nicer payoff.

I'm just opining here.

WoW's epic mounts also took a while to earn the gold for... I remember people who didn't their epics till BC. 210k that is easily earned for 10% increase and the chance to stay mounted longer? I'll take it.

For me the speed increase is a bit dissapointing, say 100% 120% 140% or more would make a nice difference compaired to the 10% increase at the moment.

Saying that though i am on my 2nd speed mount and will be getting my last one as soon as i hit 50 so will buy regardless and over time i could see me even spending my cash on every vanity mount/pet i can get my hands on.

I find it funny people complain of walks in mmos, i remember fondly playing final fantasy 11 and walking from sandoria to windy on foot level 18 to meet a friend, it must have taken well over a hour and a half not to mention the 10 minute boat ride and while i ran for my life through the higher level zones i loved every minute of it.

3 weeks farming thick leather and selling random blue/epic drops for my epic mount in Vanilla. 1k gold was ludicrous for the time.

Credits, I hate to say it, are kind easy to get in this game. Not complaining though! Less chance of getting knocked of my mount works for me!

Sometimes you pay vast amounts for incremental increases. You are certainly not forced to get the faster mount.
you could say that, if the price increases were remotely similar, this isn't a 35k to 80k jump, this is a 40k for 90% speed jump to 210k for a 10% speed boost.

That's more then a *********** x5 price hike to go slightly faster, and not get knocked off "quite" as easily... then they add insult to injury by bumping it up yet again to 310k for another 10% at 50..

This is beyond a money sink, it's more along the lines of just throwing your money in the garbage... Seriously what do the devs care if we go "faster" they're not making additional money off the credits we spend ingame.

Those speeder training prices need to either come down... alot, or the speed needs to be jacked up.... ALOT.

Most of you crying right now want massive speeds and will just be complaining when the first expac comes out that you want even MORE and then MORE when the second expac comes out.

As is, they can add a +120% to an epic boss in a few months and then with the first expac increase mount speeds to 150%, then 200% then 250%...

Personally, I dont want to be stuck with a set max speed over the life of a game just because you guys want near what the games design can handle...and we found out how bad 300% speeds are during beta...
This sounds very pompous, sorry if it wasn't your intention, just an observation from me.
