Level 70 datacron pkg

Hail and well met, all.

Quite some time ago I had bought the lv 70 datacron, and when used got lv 70, got weapons/armor, a bunch of other crates with stuff, and about 400k credits.

This was a newly created, lv 1 character... so he had no other money.

Fast forward to yesterday, and I bought another pack, used it, and only got the level and weapons/armor.

No other crates and no credits at all.

Am I not seeing something, is this a bug, or did they change what comes in the pack?

I appreciate any insight you may have.

Take care,

Yes, most definitely before 6.0... probably about a year ago.

They should still give the credits at least... lv 70 with 10k credits, lol.

Meh, I'm just going through the stories anyway, so probably by the time I would have "naturally" gotten to lv 70 I'll have the cash I need for that content.

Thanks.

I would just run a few flashpoints. At that level, you should be getting quite a bit for flashpoint completion and armor drops. Also, by completing conquest on your character (running things until you hit 50,000 conquest points, which should only take a day or so), you get 25,000 credits immediately and 50,000 the following week.

Also, check the wording of the item you purchased. Did it say anything about getting credits (honest question, I've never bought one.)? If so, feel free to ask customer service for help. You're right that it's weird to start the game with so few credits, since you want to be able to purchase a few legacy unlocks for stuff, and that takes money!

Once you get into the swing of things, you should be making at least 250,000-400,000 or more every week. I would recommend trying to join a guild that conquers large planets (if you need help understanding conquest let me know, but since you've played before I'm sure you're familiar with the basics.), since that gives you much more money and gear to sell.

Finally, welcome back!

I'll answer that. No, there are no credits in a Master's Datacron, and no part of the package says there are. You get some credits, maybe, for completing the ship-droid intro mission if you use the MD before you would otherwise get your class ship, and that's it. Um. Unless OP sold the Eternal Commander MK-3 gear set that was in the first one, although even that wouldn't get all the way to 400K credits. (14 gear pieces at 8-12K credits each is no more than about 200K.)

Thanks all.

All I know is that the first time...

1) Created brand new character and spawned into game.

2) Opened up the market place and bought the insta level 70 item. Forget the name or items it listed.

3) Used item, accepted the are you sure you want to use this question both times it popped up.

4) Character was lv 70 with SEVERAL boxes to open. One had armor/weapons, one had credits, then there were several more with various odds n' bods in them.

5) Opened the credits one and it gave me 450k credits.

This new one... one and only one crate that had armor/weapons and nothing else, (this appeared in my inventory after activating the insta level item).

Thanks all for the info... maybe this is why the crate is now discounted, (though I don't remember what I paid before, just that in the store it says discounted from 3200 to 2000), because it doesn't have all that other stuff?

I don't recall ever seeing it at anything other than the "sale" price. And I've never seen anything else go "on sale" and give less than it did at "full" price, either.

You could (maybe) see what you paid before by looking at your Cartel Coin ledger. Though it may just say "In Game Purchase" and the amount.

OK, both of those sequences are weird.

I've bought several MD bundles since they were first released. (If I don't spend CCs on *something*, they accumulate in very large quantities, like thousands a month...)

In all cases, I used the *bundle* item and it opened up and gave me the datacron and the (unopened) box of EC MK-3 gear. I then used the datacron and bounced into my ship before cranking to level 70.
