Mausen
Click, click, click, skip intro movie. Spawn on Fleet, character is level 1. This is terrible.... I submitted a ticket in-game as well, but will repost my questons here: Should I keep the bugged level 1 character? Should I erase the bugged character in preparation for a reroll? Will you guys hand out a token for free as solution once this problem is fixed? Basically it's been a "download the patch, log in, get busted" experience. This is not a happy way to begin playing the game again. I've kept my sub current, and all the other in-game rewards are there, only this 60 character is a total shambles it seems. sabbey
I had the same happen just now, worked fine on my second account making a Republic character however...
Mausen
It was a Rep side character I created... So seems random when the bug strikes??
BlindJester
Same problem here. I tried to create a lvl 60 sorcerer, watched the new trailer (not the KOTFE one), and I found myself on the fleet with a lvl 1 inquisitor. Checked, and my free token was used up. Lovely ... Alec_Fortescue
Same happened to me! I wanted outlander armor for my outfitter so much! edit: DELETE YOUR BUGGED CHARS and you will get a token refund few minutes later. Aaand same thing happened. jesus... and for the third time now. what's going on? Edited October 20, 2015 by Alec_Fortescue
Mausen
Yup, deleting bugged character gives you the token back. Tried 5 times now, and every time the same: Level 1.
Alec_Fortescue
I'll appreciate workarounds!

More details? how did you do that?! I can't start playing without my outlander armor. Edited October 20, 2015 by Alec_Fortescue
Mausen
Kept deleting the failed characters. The token for the level 60 character is returned, then I began all over. Seems it finally worked.... after a couple of client crashes it suddenly sparked into life.
sabbey
Thanks, that fixed it for me on the first go...
Bachannal
When I was given the option to create a fresh level 60, I opted to do so - but I spawned as a level 1 character on fleet with level 1 class mission, no ship, no level 60 abilities, etc. I assumed I'd have to go see a trainer or get a token to kick in the level 60 thing, and unwittingly purchased a Hypercrate from the CM for this toon. I called customer service to ask what I could do, and apparently my option is to wait until the stuff I bought off the CM unlocks, transfer it all to legacy storage or send it to other toons, and then delete this level 1 so I can try creating the character again? That's not really an acceptable solution. I first brought this up in http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=843315 but wasn't aware of how to move a thread . sabbey
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=842489 The fix appears to be deleting the character and remaking the character... Fixed it for me!

Fixed it for me! My problem is that I bought a Hypercrate on the toon, so I have to wait until it's all un-bound before I can even bother. It's frankly a crap workaround. sabbey
Yeah, sorry, I didn't notice the part about the Hypercrate,... Not sure why BioWare couldn't just update your character or refund the token to give you the level 60 in the meantime however.
BlindJester
Still can't create lvl 60 character. I recreated different type of characters, still have the same problem. Countless recreating doesn't help for me. Any other workaround?
Wasabi
Same problem here. Sent in a ticket waiting on response. Don't want to try recreating, since that would likely burn the name I selected for my character. Thing that irritates me, there were threads on Tuesday, reporting same bug with the free level 60 creation. One would think that would be a priority fix included in todays update and that they would had made 100% sure the token level 60 worked as well. Fixed it for me! That's not a fix though. You burn the name you selected for your character.
sabbey
Not sure I understand, I was able to use the same name as the deleted character.
Wasabi
Not sure I understand, I was able to use the same name as the deleted character. Yeah, when I was finally tired of waiting on any customer support on this, I tried the delete/recreate method and discovered I could still use the same name. I took me around 15 tries before it loaded in-game as level 60 though.
sabbey
Sorry to hear that, seems to be more buggy for some people more than others. Hopefully BioWare will have a fix for it soon.
Bachannal
So they emailed me and told me "I didn't qualify for early access" - EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN SUBBED THE ENTIRE TIME. Quite literally I have been subbed for 3 years solid. But it gets better...they then said I'd get the free 60 character today...and...nope. If I go to create a new character, it's either level 1 or nothing. Ridiculous.
Bachannal
Tried deleting and starting a new one...same issue. Every time I select a "Start a Level 60" it starts as a level 1. I'm really expected to keep doing this until it works???
Bachannal
Character recreation isn't working for me either...tried it a few times now, and everytime it starts as a level 1. What's the average amount of tries until this is supposed to work?
