The wars are canon, how the war was fought, that's still up in the air. So the entire war could be rewritten. BUT! We have the Mandalorian wars! This could be big.

It was established that the Mandalorians fought the Jedi in the Clone Wars.

 

And it's possible they're referring to the Mandalorian Excision, not the actual Mandalorian Wars.

Dammit man, they've just given me A New Hope. please don't crush it...

Until there's actual word that they mean the Mandalorian Wars and not something else... yeah, I'm not too hopeful. But dammit I really want the Old Republic to be canon again.
