finished the trooper class/story quests and skipped to IOKATH to re-romance DORNE. i'd like to skip to OSSUS with the skip option but was wondering if that would super-cede the renewed romance and maybe negate it?

There is a slightly elaborate system of "hard" and "soft" savepoints, and I believe that after the end of KotET, the next one is at the end of the Traitor arc (Nathema Conspiracy), just before Jedi Under Siege.

 

I therefore encourage you to progress through the three chunks of the Traitor arc if you don't want to lose the reromanced Elara.
