When playing my telekinetic sage or lightning sorcerer I have my loot discipline set to telekinetic but all of the set pieces that I get are healing pieces. Is anyone else finding this to be the case or am I just having bad luck?

Gear has been fine for my Gunslinger (no healing spec) but so far I've gotten two tacticals for the "dirty fighting" spec, but I'm "sharpshooter".

But I sort of figured that might be another RNG thing.

I was originally getting force-healer gear on my Lightning Sorcerer, but haven't since the last patch.

 

From the patch notes:

"Telekinetic Sages will now receive Class, Advanced Class, and Role drops from all sources."

Madness / balance and I've gotten mostly healer set gear, a few random any class items, nothing class / discipline specific for dps.

So far I only got healing gear though I explicitly clicked loot discipline balance ...

My Seer Sage has gotten enough accuracy items and Force Lord pieces to outfit my Lightning Sorcerer 30 times.

I don't even mind the random drops giving me DPS stuff but I draw the line at the vendor giving me "class specific" items ... like accuracy enhancements for a healer.

How about my deception sin getting tank set bonus drops. I’ve got two full sets of the Sin tank gear and had zero dps drops. I’ve tried changing the selection to deception or keeping it on the “current” spec setting and it makes zero difference.

 

If I had to guess, I would say it’s not just Sorc’s/Sages, but the actual main inquisitor/consular parent specs having the problems and it’s filtering down to the different sub class specs.

 

I’ve made a thread for Sins as well and many posts in other threads. Including a bug section thread. Bioware are completely silent and don’t seem to care as it “slows” down our gearing rate because we have to use tech frags to buy set bonuses instead of it dropping (that’s speculative, but it fits their profile).

 

If we don’t see a fix or at least an acknowledgement in the next patch that it’s being looked at, then I doubt we will see a change unless we get more people posting and support for it to be fixed.

On my TK sage I am also only getting healing gear, have a full set of healing gear now even though never been a healer on that toon.

What you guys could try is switch the drop setting to healing and see what dps stuff you can get.

Heck I get defense drops on my Telekinetics Sage.

 

Something else as a tangent, went into Section X (still working that rep) and it was outrageous attempting to do content that was fairly easy before, ie my DPS and healing were good, apparently not in the 75 gear scaled down. I noted also my HPs were low, happened to remove and put on my bracers and magically gained 600+ HPs.

Forget what I said earlier. My lightning sorcerer just got a healing set piece from a conquest crate. Gotta love the non-existent BioWare QA.

Update: I now have almost a complete set of healing set gear (empowered restorer x 5 pieces) and half another healing set (revitalized mystic x 3) and no dps set gear from crates. This is still on my Telekinetic Sage with look discipline set to Telekinetic.

Can also confirm that my conquest crate and another equipment crate only yielded healer gear again - though I am still a balance sage and set the loot discipline accordingly... 😳

It’s not just Sorc’s, although my lightning Sorc has only been getting healing stuff.

 

My deception Assassin and Rage Jugg keeps getting tank set bonus and tactical’s too. My wife has even been getting tank set bonus on her arsenal merc??

 

This is from Master Mode flash point bosses, master and veteran weekly crates, pvp crates, renowned crates and personal conquests crates.

 

There is something fundamentally wrong and Bioware are ignoring all the threads and posts people have been making.

It’s getting really frustrating and every day I find more reasons not to log in.

Seems it takes many threads to get their attention.

 

They won’t even acknowledge their own bug thread for 5 weeks and tell us what’s happening.

Can confirm this is still happening. My Lightning sorc is getting all healing gear for the second week in a row (out of 2 weeks the char existed).

 

So annoying.......
