SWTOR needs to have pazaak in it.

Pazaak, swoop racing; the continued lack of both blows my mind. Not to mention the fact that the Cartel Market would be a solid vehicle for delivering them.

Mini-games (i.e. things to do when not questing, crafting, or raiding) would, in my opinion, completely improve the quality of this game. Why BW has not moved forward with them is beyond me.

Pazaak would be the first thing I'd want to see.

seriously. it can take a couple hours to get an op group together. sometimes someone has to go afk for a few minutes. the ability to play pazaak, and gamble with credits, would be a huge addition to the game. it's just a card game, so you can carry a deck with you, and you should be able to pull it out anywhere, even in the middle of a flashpoint. maybe disable it during pvp and while you're in combat.

swoop racing could be fun, but playing cards while waiting on a group could make the game sooooo much more enjoyable.

Universe in turmoil, Emperor trying to destroy the Republic, Sith roaming the streets murdering people, Balmorra under siege, Correllia on lock down, Hutt assaulting Makeb and the Jedi Order is constantly under fire in both politics and war.

But all that means nothing if you can't play a stupid card game while you sit on the fleet.

First Galaxy Problems.

I'd rather get stabbed in the eye with a fork than spend my free time sitting around and playing pazaak on SWTOR. It would be fun....for about 5 minutes. If the "need' for pazaak is limited to people who sit around waiting for Ops groups to form or sit in the LFG que and can't use the GTN, crafting, watch TV, read a book, or find some other way to pass the time, then that's why it's a low priority for the devs.

Wouldn't you prefer if players were active in game when their que's popped instead of off elsewhere in their house?

so because you wouldn't enjoy it, they shouldnt bother with it? Let's only approve of content that JimG the mighty wants approved.

Srsly though, pazaak and swoop bike racing along with the sssp would be amazing for this game. Truly, it would complete the game.

i think it would be best if they implemented pazaak in such a way that you could abstain from playing it. that way, you can read a book after log in, without being forced to play an in-game minigame, while those of us that would prefer to play pazaak can do that too.

imagine a conference room at bioware. jeff hickman asks, 'what can we do to improve player experience?' would you really respond, "lets develop systems where players can log in and then go afk to read a book or watch TV?"

as far as your other suggestions, i find the gtn to have a limited appeal. others enjoy it, so i think it's a viable alternative to tv, but just not for me. you mention crafting. i'm not sure you've tried swtor's crafting? i send 5 companions out on missions then wait a half hour+. so, that puts me back to waiting. while i wait for my companions to come back, i suppose i should pay a monthly subscription to go afk and read a book or watch tv? maybe instead of cartel coins EA could give subscribers an amazon prime membership.

The Esseles has a table in the room you meet the ambassador, but every time i click it, a message pop ups stating "This table isn't accepting new players."

The devs must be fans of this Glee TV series. I only saw one episode and there the girls sang "It's all about the teasing, not the pleasing." This is what I always have in my head when I run an Esselles social run. This table is sooo mean.

Here are my thoughts on Pazaak.

This is going to seem odd...but Disney already has a game that has gambling with card play in an online game, and it has a good interface.....Pirates of the Caribbean.

Simple interface, you sit down at a table with NPC players and a game in progress. You can join in on the next hand, and other players can join as well.

You gamble for in game currency.

I would love to see two things come to be with Pazaak.....

1) Add Pazaak tables on the floating barges near the travel points in Nar Shadaa. I would also put one in each canteena, each one with higher stakes than the last, depending on planet. The highest stakes games would be on the barges, the absolute high roller games in the Hutt casino on planet.

Players could join a Pazaak tournament in the Hutt Casino, and rankings would be displayed for players.

If your worried about the in game economy, use wups (wupiupi), trugs (trugut) and pegs (peggats) as currency instead and have them tradeable for special items on a hutt vendor.

STO has gambling using a Dom-Jot table and the currency is used for fluff items.

2) Add a pazaak game ability to our ships, where our companions sit down at the table and play the game with us...players would have the ability to come on our ship and join the game if you want. The stakes would be the lowest available.

make it happen BW!

Seriously there have been countless threads about this since launch, Pazaak is a staple of the KOTOR franchise and a MMO should be more than JUST warzones and JUST raids. It's all the little things that would improve this game, Pazaak being one of them. Also Swoop racing and the SSSP.

It cant be hard to implement, hell its just a card game.. just do it already!

What....is it 2011 Again?

Yes, Pazzak, Swoop Racing, Pod Racing, Ewok punting. Stuff we want but will probably never see.

Mini Games have been a topic of discussion since before launch, hate to be negative but I'm not getting my hopes up.
