Obi-Wan was even questioning about it, he warned about how dangerous Anakin is. But then he changed his mind because of Qui-Gon's blinded faith in light Anakin. Boissi Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 I may be wrong, but never did Sidious' plan depend on Anakin in any way. Order 66 would've been fulfilled without Anakin, and the Jedi would've been wiped out without Vader. He didn't need him. He just wanted him because he was strong. And thanks to Obi-Wan Vader killed Sidious, which actually seems completely pointless to me since Lando and co. blew the Death Star up anyway. How many people do you think would go, "Oh, I'll just let him live, he's CLEARLY no where near death already and has a great chance of recovery."? Yeah, honestly...
