But i cant seem to get the quest done. i keep dying at all the elites there is. Am i doing anything wrong? Spend alot of money on gearing Quinn upso he heals better. That dident seem to help. Any tips?
rgrocott
I don't remember what level I was for that quest, but for me the run-up to fighting Vengean was probably the hardest sequence of fights in the whole 1-50 run, including the big fights at the end of the class story line (no spoilers please folks!). I died a couple of times, and had to wait between each elite to let my cooldowns come back up. The boss in the chamber surrounded by force-shield walls definitely needed Heroic Moment to get him down. Maybe I was missing some big attack that needed interrupting, but he really hit me hard. That said, it's hard to suggest what you might be doing wrong without more details. Are you an appropriate level for those mobs? Are you using all your medium-length cooldowns for each elite? Maybe try it with a DPS companion if Vette or Jaesa are reasonably well geared - I was a Rage Marauder running with Vette, and I've heard some people say they found it easier with a DPS companion and just burning the elites down as fast as possible. If you do have a geared DPS companion, try having them get aggro initially, so they soak up some damage while you get some cheap shots in before the mob starts hitting you. Good luck, hopefully someone else may have some more specific advice Edit: Here's another thread on the subject, note the mentions of the aspirants' "death fields", may need to interrupt or move out of those... http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=384765 Edited July 2, 2012 by rgrocott Add link to thread discussing this fight
Elyx
I can't remember having an issue with this one, but it's been awhile. best thing to do is be careful about your emergency buttons and defensive skills. make sure you have a medpack thats as good as you can get (blue, your level). start off with your CD's as soon as possible so they can (possibly) be up again, use your companion 20m ability to reset your defensive CD and use it again. Interrupt anything he casts (if you can). avoid the bad stuff. Try a DPS companion to see if that works...pretty sure I used quinn on this one, but can't remember any details. But it's doable...got 2 jugs past it. don't forget any of your defensive CD's (like if you have a decent legacy level, there's a companions based damage reduction ability that's unlocked...can't remember when its unlocked, but its a great DR ability that can be used right after your main one). Aluvi
Make sure you expand Quinn's action bar to enable his abilities, and you might want to disable some of the dps abilities in favor of making him heal more. I had zero issues with any quest while leveling up my marauder, and I only geared him in quest rewards. Once you get quinn it's all downhill. I'd suggest you post your AC, spec, and general rotation etc. Without knowing if you are a Jugg or Mara, can't help you much more.
epicfear
you can and probably should take other people, especially several higher level friends. and very few enemies in the SW storyline are immune to CC, and the only one where it makes that much of a difference is the second to last boss in capter 3. my suggestion would be bring friends that are overleveled for it, and let them power through it for you. JamieM
Can i actually bring friends in for my Class quests ? And if how? do i ave to enable anything in the settings? There is an option in the settings to allow friends to join your class quests. Basic rules to allow you to complete solo any yellow class quest in the game as a DPS specced Jugg: 1. Make sure your gear is updated to the best of your ability (at Vengean you should have mostly level appropriate greens and some blues from commendations or FPs) 2. Use Quinn and make sure he has at least level appropriate green quality gear. 3. Interrupt everything you can with Disruption / Force Choke/ Force Push etc. 4. Look for any ground based AOE damage abilities the boss may use (usually denoted by red circles). Step out of them immediately. 5. Use your defensive cooldowns (Saber Ward, Endure Pain, Call on the Force, Sacrifice). Saber Ward and Endure Pain can be used in a rotation for max effect although most elite mobs will be dead before the second rotation. The other two should be used at the start and end of the fight respectively, depending on your health. If you do this properly then no level appropriate elite mob should be too difficult for you. KingFink
Whats the name of the setting i cant seem to find it? The option in preferences is to allow friends of the same class(In your case other Sith Warriors) to enter the instance and help you. You don't need to turn it on to get help from any friends that have characters of other classes.
TotallyLost
I just did this last in fact with my Rage Mar. I however was level 42 at the time so I am sure that makes a huge difference as all the Elite Mobs are all level 41, being a level higher as opposed to a level lower makes a huge difference I am sure. I actually started and killed the first couple of Elites using Broomstick (I know thats not his name) just to give him a run. I could do it but it was just too close so I brought Quinn back out of the closet for the rest. The key to me for all the elites was to make sure both Sabre Ward and Cloak of Pain was up, along with Force Choke. The second key was to make sure to use your interupt ability EVERY time you possibly can, I watch their ability bar more than their health bar for sure. Disruption cycles pretty quick so most of the time I could catch them with that as they dont seem to quick spam their abilities, then if disruption was in cool down I would use my Force Choke as my second interupt. For a couple of the longer fights when you have to defeat the lords I would sometimes get to use Force Choke twice. Anyway that was what I did. Give that a try or try to grind out one more level so you at least match them level wise. Hope that helps.
