Can someone weigh in on which of these provides the best class package.. I plan to heal (primarily in PvP but I guess a little but of errywhere).. but I am also interested in which story youuu most enjoyed of the three. Also which companions you found the most interesting

I've been rather fond of Commando/Merc Healing. It was easy for me to fake heal with.

I have played all 3 class' stories and I like Smuggler's story the best, and IMO Risha was interesting. Scoundrel and Commando are good pvp healers but Scoundrel are getting a nerf soon in 2.7.

So sages aren't so good in pvp? I'd be playing a female smuggler.. iono if that makes a difference

Healing wise, my merc is only level 41, so won't comment on commando healing. But smuggler healing is very straight forward and very effective, many instant heals and HoTs with 2 hard casts, but I find it boring. Consular healing I find more engaging, it's mostly all hard casts though and an instant bubble and there's rescue for more utility.

 

Story wise, consular I found quite dull.

Trooper story is a stock standard republic soldier story line.

Smuggler storyline I loved until the 3rd chapter.

I wonder if commando healers will be on par with smugglers after 2.7 x.x hard to tell from the patch notes.

In case you played World of Warcraft, and are familiar with healing specs there, it would quite come down like this;

Smuggler = Druid

Commando = Paladin

Sage = Priest

 

That's how I compared it myself once. Getting familiar with it. (note: they're not the same but sort off the same idea)
