Is there character name change feature in swtor?

Currently there is no way of doing this in game it maybe added later who knows

I'd be interested, purely because I didn't know about the legacy option before.. It'd be good to have something that works with title and legacy surname

My character has huge ***** and it is so god damn annoying

I've sent in serveral tickets concerning this and world changing.. I just want to know if its possible to have it done by a gm.. or if it will be a possibility shortly into the future..

Yes this is important to me as well. My MMO name was to be Thich Quang Duuk ...but the game would not let me put a a space in my name as well as no _ or - or ' . So used Capital letters to distinguish the three parts ( like this: ThichQuangDuuk). But instead my MMO name is Thichquangduuk. Augh!! Help!! A young Jedi's life hangs in the balance.

Actually EverQuest pioneered server transfers and Name changes.

not that it helps anyone needing a name change, but someone above said the naming feature would not allow -. It will allow dashes, but it will make every capital letter except the first letter lower cased.

 

So for anyone trying to figure out how to name their toon and how it will appear in game:

 

I named my toon Lirah-Ahn.

 

It allowed the dash, but in game, her name appears: Lirah-ahn.

I remember seeing someone yesterday as Chuk-Norris, when it told me a hyphen was an invalid character.

 

I'll write some other names, but I do know titles do that.

I didnt know about the legacy till after I made my char so now I am Aronthorn instead I should have just gone with Aron then picked Thorn or something else for my legacy name. Has anyone tried to petition and see if a GM can change it for someone in my case?

If you catch it early enough you can delete your character and start over. I usually walk a character around the game for a bit before and see how much I like them in the actual game. If I don't like the charcter I'll delete it and start over.

They are bound to bring this out as a payable feature, in fact it maybe even already there but not activated, same with the character customization.

Last names are part of the Legacy Feature. If you want a Surname, make one when you reach level 30 and activate the Legacy.

Not yet, but I'd put money on there being a way to in the future. Bioware has a lot of work ahead of them, and things like this probably aren't even on the radar right now.

I think i can somehow make others/report myself, really regret my name on my main toon wasnt fully functional when i made it up...

It means something bad in swedish, so maybe i can translate it for the devs

I'd like to change my character name as well. I didn't know about the Legacy Surname feature, and I combined first and last name together on my main character. I just want to drop it so I can use it for my surname.
