Ok so your maintenence is not scheduled until tomorrow but when I load the launcher it says Log in service unavailable and I cannot get into the game. Then it has a meassage to see the forums but it does not take me to any particular message. So I waste more time looking for something about the launcher log in being down. Finding nothing I am posting here.

Is the launcher log in down for some reason? what gives?

If you have not done so already, please try the following troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the issue:

First of all could you check that the date and time are set correctly on both your Windows clock settings and BIOS clock.

Ensure that you have the correct ports opened in your router settings. See this link:
http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/2010 and that you have both the launcher.exe and the swtor_setup.exe added to the exceptions of your firewall and any antivirus software.

I changed nothing about my computer before or after launcher would not connect to log in server (could connect to many other places on internet and no problem streaming video etc.) I changed nothing about star wars after posting, but after about 30 minutes the launcher could connect to the log in server once again.

That certainly sounds most peculiar, am I understanding correctly that you are able to login successfully at this time then? If that is the case I'm happy to hear that the issue is no longer preventing you from play, if not then please do let me know.
