Myself, along with many others, missed the DvL event, or weren't able to get the Eternal tier, for various reasons, such as lack of time. I would love another opportunity to acquire Ranos, since I was unable at the original DvL event, and I believe that a lot of other players would like the same opportunity, as I have others mention it on Twitter and other platforms. So essentially, my question is: Do you think that we will eventually see a chance for players who previously missed Master Ranos to recruit her?

It would not be fair to just give players who missed it the character for nothing while other players had to obtain certain achievements to get Master Ranos, so hopefully the DvL event comes back at some point.

I can't see the harm. As an example, I won both the Gamorrean Guard and Vectron Wraith speeder from the casino event last time it came around. I have no issue with players who missed the event last summer, or who failed to win, getting a second chance next summer. In no way am I inconvenienced if someone else gets a chance to win the same prizes.

If they came out with the event again, and people have to earn it like we did the 1st time, I don't have a problem with it. However they'd have to go through the same stuff we did when we got the DvL event companion the 1st time.

 

If they do not bring that event back however, then NO those who missed it the 1st time shouldn't get it.

Why? The answer is simple. As I said, I did not meet the requirements to receive that reward.

 

I am mature enough to accept that that means I am not entitled to have that companion. I am also mature enough to realize that I am not entitled to a "second chance" to obtain that reward, even though I would like to have that companion.

 

I missed out and that is that. It really IS that simple.

I'm not saying that anyone in particular falls into this category, but many people "can't see the harm" (or more accurately, refuse to see the harm) in something that they want.

 

The Nightlife event is different than the DvL event.

Even if they brought back the DvL event again, it is not necessarily going to mean you'll get Master Ranos.

 

Originally the DvL event had 2 companions Master Ranos, and Darth Hexxid. If LS won across all of the servers we all got Master Ranos (which happened), however if DS won We'd have gotten Darth Hexxid. Who is to say they won't put a different DS companion this time, and people across all the servers don't go DS? Or people go DS and Darth Hexxid is the companion for that event?. So even if they did the event again, the outcome may not necessarily be Master Ranos as the companion.

 

Edit: they could also have a different LS companion instead of Master Ranos, just something to consider.

Completely disagree with this.

The rest of us might want to run the DvL event if they bring it back why should we get no reward or a reward we already have?

 

Also unique rewards denote a period of the game you were playing, there are many things I missed that I am not whining to get even though I have played since beta.

Making Darth Hexid available in the manner that they did would make it difficult to offer that companion as a reward again if they brought back the DvL event.

I don't think it would make much of a difference what companion they offered as the "Dark Side" reward, though. How many of those that already have Master Ramos as a companion would actually go "Light Side" if they brought that event back? Why go "Light SIde" when you already have that reward? The "Dark Side" companion would almost certainly be the "winning" companion, IMO.

I'd have to agree with Darth Hexid not returning if they did that event again as well. Especially with how easily she is obtained for the current event to get her. They'd have to at least have a new DS companion if nothing else.

Nobody ever got Darth Hexid, so how can people "get Darth Hexid again"?

 

Darth Hexid was a potential reward, but she never actually became a reward and she was never rewarded to anyone previously.

I don't really care if they were to hand her out, I have her myself already.

She talked about a lot of missing companions. In the end for me she's just another companion I don't use.

Leaving aside the arguments about meeting/not meeting the criteria - Why do you even want another carbon-copy companion that gives absolutely no input to the story? Pretty much guarantee that within 5 minutes of getting a new dress up doll, you'd be back to using your other regular companion anyway. Edited November 15, 2017 by CrazyCT

I'm not into collecting companions - far too much time and money needed to get their influence up. When I did the KOTFE chapters I only bothered to do the first companion recruitment as to be honest they did not provide anything additional to the character apart from another "pet" to run around with.

 

However the xp bonus armour that was rewarded would be great.

 

However I think that the DvL event was a one off sort of thing as it was in the build up to KOTFE going on the dates so I doubt it will happen again.
