I just got a Powertech Tank to lvl 60 and searching some advice.

I looked at the guide on Dulfy and there you need more shield augments which is logic cause you gain stacks and can use Heated Blast with three stacks.

But When I play as a DPS and got a Powertech Tank, I look at his stats to have an idea and I notice that some PT use Power augments instead of Shield augments.

Is that a good idea or a bad idea?

All tanking augments come with power as a secondary stat, but if you mean someone using power as their primary stat you shouldn't follow their example.

^ A tank fully tank augmented has a minimum of 14 x 32 power coming from those augments (448 power) If he has power coming from anywhere else hes doing it wrong. Personally it would be nice if Bioware replaced the power you get on your augments with endurance since (Revan anyway) requires you to have a decent health pool. The 448 power you get only mildly increases your DPS and Threat generation as a tank anyway.
