yo, the problèm is im very **** in informatic but really really, i dont know this "wine" and im french so hard to all understand, its for that i hope BioWare can give official patch because im really **** in informatic, just gamer

i tested ur reddit link but when i on swtor, the launcher install patch, idk why i give ", "skip_self_patch": true"

I do know you need to use the old launcher not the current launcher, there is a link in the reddit thread to obtain the old launcher to use, the idea is the "skip_self_patch": true" is to stop it updating to the version that is not working for you
