Was away for 5 months - how are the skank guardians doing in PVP? I saw a PVP tier list, dps guardians on the bottom, sadly..

Haven’t done ranked since it never wants to pop but doing very well with this sort of build in unranked. :/

What list are you referring to? Also returning from like 6-7 yrs ago, do Skanks (sins, vanguards, juggs) all use Focus offhand or shield offhand?

Focus, shield isn’t worth it imo.

If you're running tank SPEC you should use a shield; put dps mods and enhancements in it

thanks. kendraP is there a reason for it? I notice my alacrity gets cut in half on % with shield.

I should think it obvious, but fine. The shield gives you a chance at blocking a % of damage off certain attack types, and additionally all tank specs have procs that rely on shielding an attack.

 

If you want to dps, just help the rest of us and go dps. If you want to tank, run a shield.

 

I say this because even as a skank, what you are concentrating on should be different than a dps. If you're leaving your team alone to one on one things with extra survivability, you are being an atrocious team player. Your focus should be on objectives, guarding, guard swapping, and taunting, then damage as opportunity exists. If you get no protection at the end of the match, you should have been dpsing.

 

TLDR: A skank is not a dps with extra survivability. If you want that go roll a merc.
