sipariser
I was having the same issue and then found this: http://dulfy.net/2012/05/13/heroic-quests-bonus-series-and-their-rewardsrepublic/ Edited December 5, 2015 by sipariser
Gindorf
At the end of Chapter 9 of Kotfe, you are introduced to her, among others. (That vague enough to avoid spoilers? ) You will then be able to turn those items in for rep with her.
BlazeTomahawk
I've been doing heroics on my trooper for gear, an seem to have out leveled the gear. The last couple hav given me stuff for the Alliance specialists, even though I haven't done Kotfe on this character. That's probably what you're encountering
Cracksson
I see that no one yet has given a straight answer after all this time. She is located at the "Force Enclave" at odessen when you enter the "Alliance Camp Headquarters" So, Problem solved thank me in credits!
SteveTheCynic
I see that no one yet has given a straight answer after all this time. She is located at the "Force Enclave" at odessen when you enter the "Alliance Camp Headquarters" So, Problem solved thank me in credits! Less snideness please. The above posts were made in 2015, shortly after the content was released (and, indeed, the first post was made *on*the*day*it*was*released*), when the answer you gave would have counted as a medium-quality spoiler. The link to Dulfy was, indeed, irrelevant (in part for being substantially out of date - it's *still* there and it's *still* out of date), but the answer that you find out when you play KotFE Chapter IX was definitely correct and effectively spoiler-free. (It also gave all the information you need to find her, including the "entry condition".)
one_freaky_coppa
Quote - "Less snideness please". Interesting opener coming from a person with the name of SteveTheCynic. Cracksson, I if no one else will honour your request for credits for information even if it did take 5 years for someone to give a concise answer. ItachiZaku
So a slacker like me who hasn't done much in way of storyline should just dump these things?
LD_Little_Dragon
So a slacker like me who hasn't done much in way of storyline should just dump these things? If you have a level 70 character, or higher, just start the ossus storyline. It will auto-complete KotFE/ET and you can then turn in the crates. *or with a level 65 character you can start chapter one of KotFE, escape out of it, and then jump to chapter one of KotET. Suzsi
So a slacker like me who hasn't done much in way of storyline should just dump these things? Depends if you want the decorations and more useless mounts or not. If you want them, hand in the crates. Otherwise they only effect KoTFE and KoTeT. The level of your advisors doesn't seem to really do much even then. Just opens a vendor for more useless mounts in addition to the ones you get from the crates. Mubrak
So a slacker like me who hasn't done much in way of storyline should just dump these things? They contain legacy bound armor shells from the 1.0 and 2.0 eras, companion gifts and some mounts and decorations. So it depends on what you do instead of storyline. If all you do is PVP and Ops and you couldn't care less about space barbie and solo activities with companions, then yes, they aren't of much use for you. You still could vendor the gear and sell the rest on the GTN, all you need to open the boxes is is a char that has played to chapter 9 of KOTFE or skipped to Ossus. mike_carton
They level up your influence with Alliance Specialists. Leveling up your influence with the 4 Alliance Specialists will help with doing Star Fortress missions. One of the Star Fortress achievements requires your influence to be 10 with each of them. More to the point, if you have them at rank 10+, they provide special objects you can use in the fights in the Star Fortress missions, especially the one provided by Aygo. You also get the little side missions as you rank up, not sure how many, about 4 or so for each specialist, which has it's own rewards, exp/cxp, and companion gifts. So worth keeping, and using even if you never do anything else...lol
Phazonfreak
Also there is no need to throw them away regarding inventory space. They are stackable and bound to legacy, so they will only take up 4 slots in your legacy bank and you can pull them out as needed with any of your characters. StockThorax
So a slacker like me who hasn't done much in way of storyline should just dump these things? Well they are a pretty good source of income when you get to the part where you can actually redeem them. The gold gifts you can sell on GTN for roughly 200k credits each. At least that seems to be the price where people actually buy them on my server. The crate itself holds about 5k credits. The armor shells are good for 3-5k credits apiece when sold to a vendor. You don't have to collect them. The mounts can be sold on GTN but are not rare, so not worth a lot. All the decorations I have gotten from them are bound, so no value there. But on average a single crate is easily worth upwards of 40k credits - not all of them have the gold gifts but enough do to meet or exceed that estimate. RameiArashi
I never got any side missions on the one character that maxed them all. Now I if I just remember which one that was to check him out. I have too many. Its a minor thing but as you raise them up the occasional comments made by other NPCs change from complaining about the Alliance to praising it. The room close to the admiral. with the map screen up, you should be able to see them. They're not missions you go out on, just turn them in when you reach certain levels of influence. Basically, it's free xp

Yes, level 10+, as I said in the third post on page two of the thread. Handing in the crates can also get you some nice companion gifts among the kickback stuff.
