[Petition]: Give Commando/Mercenary pushback protection for Full Auto/Unload

While i agree that pushback protection is a step in the right direction, the Gunnery Commando/Arsenal Mercenary loses 1 tick(33%) of the damage done by Full Auto/Unload when he takes damage.

Gunnery/Arsenal is already behind Pyrotech/Assault Specialist on damage, and the changes will push Gunnery/Arsenal further back, as they must use Full Auto/Unload on cooldown/proc.

So please consider a push back protection for Full Auto/Unload as it is vital for the Gunnery/Arsenal tree and is now losing too much of its damage(33%) every time you are attacked.

As much as I would like to see this, I'm going to have to ask you to calm down and save it until AFTER 2.6 drops.

A) What we have seen is a PREVIEW. It is not the full list so there will be more changes IN ADDITION TO what has already been posted. You don't know what else they have planned. There might be more to make Gunnery "Stronger" then you believe it currently is.

B) You're asking Bioware to do a whole lot of changes all at once. While I understand Commandos/Mercenaries have seen little in the way of love, Bioware has a horrible track record when it comes to trying to balance the classes in single massive swoops. Let's see what the current changes do first before we go asking for anything else.

I agree but I'm more then willing to wait and see what these changes do first. You theorize all you want what will happen but until you put that theory into practice, you never know what the actual results will be.

If you take the 70% pushback in the Gunnery tree, you dont lose a tick (at least I think, been a while since Ive checked that)

You do. When I'm under heavy fire in PvE (and PvP, for that matter, the last tick is, unfortunately, lost...

They've said they're applying a full pushback for Charged Bolts and Grav Round ONLY.

Which brings up the interesting question of what they're doing to said "Steady Aim".

Steady Aim is only a 70% protection all around while the patch states full protection for only two skills.

So does that mean Full Auto which is attached to Steady Aim going to benefit as well if they tweak this skill or will they add some talent further up that will add another 30% to CB and GR?

THIS is why I am advertising that everyone calm down on doing stuff like this topic until the full notes are out.

Only affects GR and CB (which no one ever uses), so FA still takes pushback.

GR is used heavily by Gunnery as our key ability hi-speed. It debuffs for 20% of the armor allowing us to give everyone the ability to rip through heavies. It also sets up for BOTH HiB AND Demo Round. The former can be upgraded with stacks of charged barrel which only come from GR while the latter gets an extra 25% oomph from hitting a target affected by your GR.

GR AND CB also procs our CoF buff which resets the cooldown on FA and hits for 25% more damage which is where our biggest hits come from.

Grav Round and Charged Bolts useless and no one uses them?

You MUST be playing Combat Medic Spec.

also CB is used a lot as assault and i think that in some fights it might be nice to take steadied aim as medic since i spam it all the time on fights like grob, sadly not really worth the time the respecc takes.

I was referring to Charged Bolts. Gunnery never uses is as it is strictly worse than Grav Round. The extra 30% pushback protection for Grav Round is cute, but is not going to make a very noticeable difference. Full Auto was not affected by the changes to Steadied Aim and so we still lose 33% of the damage from Full Auto when we take damage during the cast and it can still be interrupted.
